00:02 - Roger Goodell re-upped for another three years.
00:05 Most people will sit back, Rick, and say,
00:07 "He's a terrible commissioner."
00:09 That's not what the NFL owners say.
00:10 Every single year, they're making more and more money.
00:13 And yes, Goodell is gonna get re-upped.
00:15 Why?
00:16 Because he makes them more money.
00:17 Talk about what this means for the NFL
00:18 as now he's extended through March of 2027.
00:21 - Well, and why also,
00:23 if you have a corporation that you're running,
00:26 and that corporation makes $21, $22 billion a year,
00:31 you're gonna have significant stock options.
00:32 But wait, the NFL doesn't have stock options.
00:35 So the next best thing is just straight up compensation
00:38 to keep him until at least 68 years old.
00:41 And all the pundits, there are two camps.
00:43 One is that says, "He's not a good commissioner.
00:45 "Just take a look at the numbers."
00:47 And the second is that, "Well, it's too much for anybody."
00:51 And that's not true if you treat him
00:53 as a CEO of a major corporation
00:55 and base it on earnings,
00:57 which of course is what his lawyers argue.
