00:08 Inaugurated in Spillamberto, in the province of Modena,
00:11 the Biomethano production plant,
00:13 made by Agnuco Bjorg,
00:15 born from the partnership between the ERA group,
00:17 one of the largest Italian multi-utilities,
00:19 and the Inalca company,
00:21 the Cremonini group,
00:22 leader in Italy in the production of meat
00:24 and in the distribution of food products.
00:26 Thanks to a total investment of about 28 million euros
00:30 and starting from the differentiated collection
00:32 of organic and agri-food waste,
00:34 the plant will produce 3.7 million cubic meters of biomethane every year,
00:39 100% renewable fuel,
00:41 intended for self-traction,
00:43 and about 18,000 tons of compost.
00:46 These projects are at the base of our industrial plan,
00:51 they will contribute to the decarbonization of the communities
00:55 in which we operate.
00:57 This means a concrete commitment to create shared value,
01:01 that is, to create economic value for the company
01:04 and at the same time value for the territories served.
01:10 The Spilamberto plant,
01:11 thanks to the emission of biomethane into the grid
01:13 and its use for self-traction,
01:15 will have significant environmental benefits.
01:18 Every year, the use of about 3,000 tons of oil equivalent
01:22 will be saved and CO2 emissions of about 7,000 tons will be avoided.
01:27 To absorb such an amount of carbon dioxide,
01:30 an average of 280,000 trees would be needed.
01:33 Having biomethane today allows an upgrade of the circular vehicle fleet,
01:39 especially that of public transport and self-traction.
01:42 For us, it is a very important goal,
01:45 not only allows us to produce not only biomethane,
01:50 but also compost,
01:51 so the supply chain closes completely in a circular economy.
01:56 The new biomethane production plant will allow the appreciation of waste,
02:00 processing, and meat production activities,
02:03 allowing a significant step forward in the zero waste commitment also for Inalca.
02:08 With ERA we have found the perfect symbiosis.
02:11 We are one of the largest farmers in Italy,
02:13 we have more than 100,000 heads.
02:15 With our compost we can avoid flooding the land with chemical fertilizers
02:21 and therefore we do it in a much more natural way.
