00:00 >> You were doing a lot of talking to the line, besides just Jackson.
00:04 We always talk to you a lot to relay.
00:06 What was that like on the road when you guys could barely hear anything and
00:10 you're playing that role beyond just playing the role of right guard,
00:14 you have to be a communicator.
00:16 >> I feel like after this being my sixth or whatever year,
00:19 the situations like that were so loud, it's kind of fun.
00:22 It's like a fun challenge.
00:24 You gotta be able to execute and
00:25 if you don't then it's gonna keep on, the snowballs is gonna keep going.
00:28 So having to overly communicate like that is actually I find it fun because you
00:32 really gotta make sure that everyone's on the same page.
00:34 You can't really just get stuck in that motion of,
00:37 we see the defensive front, this is what we're usually gonna do.
00:40 If I can't hear the person next to me,
00:41 then I gotta do whatever it is to make sure that he knows, and he knows, and
00:44 I know what's going on, so I like it.
00:46 >> How long does it take you to settle into a game when it's that loud there?
00:49 >> For me, it's kinda just that first play.
00:52 You kinda always have jitters.
00:54 Every athlete has jitters until that first play.
00:55 Once you make contact with that person, it's like, all right,
00:57 well, we're in it now, so we just gotta keep going.
00:59 >> You've gotten a good look at Pancho this year, obviously,
01:03 what stood out to you about him, the way that he's been able to come in with
01:08 your freshman and have an impact on this team?
01:11 >> I'd say probably his vulnerability.
01:13 An athlete like that coming out of high school who's that skilled can easily just
01:16 kinda be like, okay, I know what I'm doing.
01:18 But Pancho came in with open eyes, open arms.
01:21 He wanted to learn from me and all the older, old guys.
01:23 So just having that type of athlete with that skill level at his age is very
01:28 beneficial for us because he's able to come in and actually make plays with us.
01:31 And also, he's just a great guy.
01:33 I mean, his older brother's an even better person.
01:35 They're both awesome people, so it's always fun playing with Pancho.
01:39 >> With Ope, how have you seen him kinda bring his younger brother into the mix and
01:43 make sure that he was on the right page and doing things the right way?
01:47 >> Ope is a man of few words, but once he says something, you gotta listen.
01:50 So I think him and Pancho already have that relationship,
01:53 cuz obviously they grew up together.
01:54 So you don't really see Ope coaching Pancho a lot, but
02:00 he'll say something quietly and Pancho will just listen immediately.
02:02 So I don't know, Ope's a great dude, great.
02:05 He's one of my favorite players on the offensive line,
02:07 cuz he's the pure definition of toughness.
02:09 He's had so many injuries and he pushed through it all since he's been here, so
02:13 I really commend him for that.
