00:02 - Detroit this week at Baltimore,
00:04 the Ravens are three-point favorites.
00:06 Total is 43.
00:08 I know the Lions are really banged up going into this game,
00:10 but they've been the best covering team in the NFL
00:12 going on two years, Warren.
00:13 So let's touch on this first.
00:15 - Yeah, look, the Lions have played
00:18 some of the worst passing attacks in the NFL.
00:20 If you go down the list of teams
00:22 that they've played recently,
00:23 we're talking about the number 26 Panthers,
00:25 number 25 Packers, number 21 Falcons,
00:28 number 20 Buccaneers, and it sounds even worse than that
00:31 when you talk about the names of the quarterbacks
00:33 that they're going up against.
00:34 Bryce Young, first-year starter Jordan Love,
00:37 first-year starter Desmond Ritter,
00:39 and then Baker Mayfield.
00:40 So now they have to go up against a quarterback
00:42 like Lamar Jackson.
00:44 Top 10 passing offense, top 12 rushing offense.
00:47 You know, most of those teams
00:49 that they were going up against in the past,
00:51 not only do they have poor quarterbacks
00:52 and poor quarterback play,
00:54 but they didn't have rushing attacks
00:55 to support those quarterbacks.
00:56 And now the Baltimore Ravens certainly have that.
01:00 I think this is also a big step up in class
01:02 for the Baltimore Ravens defense
01:04 and some of the quarterbacks
01:05 that they've been going up against.
01:07 This one, to me, Craig, a lot is gonna be dependent
01:10 upon what the weather is actually doing out there.
01:13 Fortunately, I don't live that far from the stadium.
01:16 I check the weather at my house.
01:17 It's gonna be the same as what they're projecting there.
01:20 So with these winds of 18 mile per hour,
01:23 19 mile per hour sustained,
01:25 with gusts upwards of 30.
01:26 And I think people need to realize
01:28 when we're talking about gusts,
01:29 what is the definition of a wind gust?
01:32 Sorry to go down this rabbit hole,
01:33 but a wind gust is a wind speed
01:37 that is occurring for at least three seconds
01:39 within a two minute period.
01:41 So we're not talking,
01:42 this wind gust doesn't have to actually
01:43 be significantly prevalent.
01:45 We're talking about three seconds
01:47 within a two minute window.
01:48 So you might have, you know, 30 to 80% of this game
01:53 not have any of these 30 mile per hour winds.
01:55 And then they're just cropping up here and there.
01:57 And for the most part, it's 18 sustained.
01:59 Now, 18 sustained is not anything to sneeze about.
02:03 That is something that you should be paying attention to.
02:06 But I just wanna see what it really is,
02:08 because, you know, this total is pretty light,
02:10 in my opinion.
02:11 These offenses should be able to have some success
02:13 against one another's defense.
02:15 I'm looking at the Ravens.
02:16 I mean, two weeks ago,
02:17 it was nothing but dropped passes.
02:18 Last week, it was nothing but failed trips to the red zone.
02:21 They gotta get back on track here,
02:22 finally playing at home.
02:24 This could be a good spot for them to be able to do
02:26 just that against a line defense
02:28 that is a little bit banged up.
02:31 But, you know, I do wonder about road golf.
02:33 That is a factor here, especially in some winds.
02:36 Are they gonna be as efficient on the road
02:38 passing the football?
02:39 'Cause normally they have not been.
