00:00All right, Carver, hi.
00:01Let's take a look at the wild card schedule.
00:04By the way, it's 1-0 Braves.
00:07And they're in the bottom of the fourth, one zip.
00:10And this guy Holmes has them eating out of his palms.
00:15They can't get a hit.
00:16They can't do anything against him.
00:18And it's crazy to me, because they're only up one.
00:21Like, you would think, you know, get a couple of runs
00:24and put them up against it.
00:25I want to see them losing, stressing out in, like,
00:28the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings.
00:30I would love nothing more than to see them not
00:32make the playoffs and get swept today by the lowly Mets lineup
00:36in the second game.
00:38Yeah, that would be such a shame if that happened to them.
00:42If that actually went down, what a shame that would be.
00:44I am going to give you the schedule.
00:46I know I didn't get through all the college with you.
00:48We'll do a lot of college tomorrow.
00:49I'll save all.
00:50We'll do a look at the full top 25,
00:52because Indiana's in the top 25.
00:53So I want to make sure we don't.
00:55And Indiana went to the window for me again on Saturday.
00:58So I want to make sure that we give everybody their proper due.
01:00And we'll do that tomorrow as we start
01:02to look to this week's games in college football.
01:05Here is the schedule, because tomorrow is where
01:09the playoffs officially begin.
01:11I know it felt like a playoff game this afternoon in Atlanta.
01:14So here's what we got tomorrow, Scotty.
01:16Game one, Tigers and Astros, right
01:19before we start coast to coast, 232, love these times,
01:24232 PM East is when they will start that game.
01:28Game one, and that's going to be Scruble going for Detroit,
01:32and Valdez going for the Astros.
01:34Game one, Kansas City and Baltimore, 408 PM East.
01:38So also starting while we're doing coast to coast.
01:41We have two games on during coast to coast tomorrow to start the playoffs.
01:45In fact, we'll even at some point have three,
01:49because either the Mets or Arizona will be in Milwaukee at 532 PM East.
01:58So towards the end of C to C is when the Brewers will get started
02:02against either the Mets or the Diamondbacks.
02:04And then either the Mets or Atlanta will be in San Diego 838 PM tomorrow night.
02:10And it's really pretty much the same.
02:12There's a couple of variations, as you see there, on Wednesday and Thursday.
02:15Obviously, Thursday's only if you get to the third game.
02:18But it should be a fun three days here, Scotty,
02:21with these wild card series that we will get going with.
02:25God, I got to tell you, I'm going to take Scruble,
02:29even though the Astros are as great as they are.
02:34They're in the ALCS every year.
02:36They're always the best team in the playoffs.
02:37They're unbeatable.
02:38But this guy, Scruble, is so unbelievable, it's not even funny.
02:42And not only that, I can't keep track of it, Carver High.
02:45What have they won?
02:47It's either 10 of 11 or 11 of 12.
02:50I can't remember exactly.
02:52They've won so many games, I've lost track of it.
02:55The Tigers are on fire, and their ace is going, who just, he won everything.
03:01Wins, ERA, strikeouts, the triple crown of pitching.
03:06He's so dominant, it's not even funny.
03:08I think the Astros are going to have trouble scoring runs against him.
03:12And then in the second game, you mentioned,
03:14Reagans, your boy Ronald Reagans against Burns.
03:17Burns has struggled mightily over the last month and a half.
03:22There's just no getting around it.
03:24Could the Royals steal game one at Camden?
03:27Why not?
03:29Yeah, here's the numbers, actually, for you.
03:32For that series, obviously the Astros are favored for the three game
03:37series over the Tigers.
03:38There it is, minus 175, plus a buck, 45.
03:41But if you want for Scruble tomorrow, Scotty,
03:44you're getting plus 126 with Scruble tomorrow afternoon for the Tigers.
03:48They are the dogs in Houston.
03:50Astros are minus a buck, 48, with a six and a half total.
03:53So a nice price, and I think when we look at this series, obviously,
03:57and I know the Tigers have been red hot, but it is, I believe, an absolute must.
04:03They need Scruble to win that first game to give themselves a chance here down
04:07in Houston against a team that, as we know, has so much postseason success.
04:11They need a big time performance from Scruble tomorrow afternoon.
04:15Yeah, so what?
04:15I guess they cooled off over the weekend, the Tigers, and lost two or three
04:21of the White Sox.
04:22After they clinched on Friday night and celebrated,
04:26they basically didn't care on Saturday and Sunday,
04:29is pretty much what it came down to.
04:31All right, well, I'm still willing to bet on Scruble.
04:33I'm willing to bet on Scruble, without a doubt, at that price.
04:37He's so good.
04:38I know how good the Astros are, but this guy, he is a problem.
04:44He is a problem.
04:45Reagans and Burns, as you said, in the first game in Baltimore,
04:49that's just after 4 East, minus 156 for Burns tomorrow, plus 132 for Reagans.
04:55For the series, Orioles are minus 175.
04:59Royals are plus $1.45 for it.
05:02I don't know, Sky, both teams sputtered in September, right?
05:07And really, down the stretch, I mean, the Orioles, I guess you could say,
05:10finished a little bit stronger, taking the 2 out of 3 in the Bronx,
05:14and then finishing up the Twins over the weekend.
05:17But Burns hasn't been great.
05:20I don't know if I want to lay that much with him.
05:22Yeah, I'm concerned about Burns for tomorrow.
05:25But I think the Orioles are playing a little better, very little,
05:30better than the Royals.
05:31The Royals did not play well.
05:34They backed into the playoffs.
05:35There's no getting around it.
05:37Obviously, they have pitching, Lugo, Reagans.
05:41It goes on and on.
05:42Bobby Witt, you know, he won the hitting crown.
05:45He's a badass.
05:47But this Baltimore team is stacked with guys that can hit.
05:51So I think the Orioles will find a way to win that series.
05:54And remember, they were there last year, and they had to have gained
05:57some valuable experience.
05:58It's been a few years for the Royals since they were there.
06:01We're not talking about 2014 and 15, going to the World Series.
06:05They went in whatever, 17.
06:08It's been a few years since they've done it, right?
06:10So I think Baltimore is better suited for this opportunity.
06:14I think they went and failed.
06:17And now they're going, and they want to win a round at the very least.
06:21So I think they're the buy.
06:22I think the upset shot is the Tigers against the Astros.
06:27Now, no one in their right mind would take the Tigers over the Astros
06:31in a series.
06:33They have played such great baseball over the last two months.
06:37I am not against taking them.
06:40I think that price is juicy.
06:42And I think tomorrow is juicy, plus $1.26, plus $1.45 on the series.
06:48I would die if I could see the Tigers eliminate the Astros.
06:52Because I think if they do, it opens the door for the Yankees.
