Transcript
00:00 Finally got to make your debut.
00:02 You like to be out there and play inside.
00:04 It felt great, man.
00:06 Like growing up, being a huge Oregon fan,
00:08 like finally being out there with my brothers after all this time.
00:11 I mean, it just felt great.
00:14 It felt great running out there with Jeff, Scoob,
00:16 whoever I was out there with, all 11.
00:18 It felt great to be back.
00:20 What was the emotions like of just fighting through your injury,
00:24 getting back and just how, I guess, how hard was it?
00:26 Was there ever a doubt you were going to get back this season?
00:28 No, I just knew the training staff, the weight staff,
00:32 I just knew that they would keep pouring into me,
00:35 helping me get back.
00:36 As long as I handled my business, I knew that I was going to be on the field.
00:39 And then when the moment came, I just knew I had to seize it.
00:42 Was it a re-aggravation of the injury from last year?
00:46 Was it something new?
00:48 I mean, I had some stuff with my foot,
00:51 but it was just trying to get my body right,
00:54 just get my body right and ready to play.
00:57 How do you feel now?
00:58 I mean, I feel great now.
01:00 I feel like I can fly around.
01:02 Like I said before, I feel like the training staff
01:04 and the weight staff just did a tremendous job helping me get back.
01:07 All credit to them.
01:09 I can't wait to just go see them, just tell them all thank you
01:12 just for helping me get back.
01:14 How difficult were these last few weeks?
01:16 I mean, you're obviously getting pretty close and practicing again,
01:18 but just not quite ready for Saturday.
01:19 Yeah, I mean, it was tough.
01:21 But also at the same time, I mean, like, shoot,
01:24 it was great seeing my brothers going out there and playing.
01:26 So, like, I couldn't really worry about me in those situations.
01:29 It was how can I help the team, how can I keep my mental right?
01:32 So, when I step on the field, I'll be ready again.
01:35 How do you do that?
01:36 Like, how were you trying to help the team
01:37 when your new guy coming in and also trying to work your way back?
01:40 Yeah, I mean, I feel like the coaches, my teammates,
01:42 they all helped me stay involved.
01:44 They kept me involved in everything.
01:46 They always checked on me, checked on my mental,
01:49 just made sure I was involved.
01:50 They, like, let me travel.
01:52 Just seeing everything, I feel like everybody together just helped me
01:55 get to this moment and I appreciate everybody here.
