00:00 That was one of your most productive games of the year on the offensive line of the running game.
00:04 How good does it feel to come out of one of these games like that?
00:06 I mean it feels great. I mean our huge thing this week was just to go 1-0 and that's the biggest thing that we're
00:11 looking at is if we got the win, we got the win and you know
00:14 It was fun. Austin was rocking, you know, we had these cool unis on so it was a lot of fun.
00:20 You guys really got rolling when you started running the ball well in the second quarter.
00:23 Yeah. As an offensive line, how fun was that?
00:24 It's fun. I mean we always want everybody to run the ball, but if
00:28 we're not the offense coordinator, we're just gonna run what's called.
00:31 But it was a lot of fun when we heard run, we all got excited. So it was good.
00:36 Even by Bucky's standards, do you think today was a little different for him?
00:40 Just what he was able to do with those three big plays?
00:42 Of course. I mean not different from him. He does it every day.
00:45 And he's got more opportunities too and that's just kind of how football works.
00:48 It's like lanes opened up and you know, we did better blocking and it was just he did him.
00:53 That's all he had to do and he had a great day.
00:55 What's he like as a teammate?
00:56 He's amazing. I love Bucky. I remember the first time, so he came on the campus.
01:01 What was I doing? I was at Prince Bucklers and
01:04 Bucky, I just walk out and Bucky just has this big ice cream cone, ice cream on his face.
01:10 He's like, "Hey, I'm Buck." And I was like, "All right, that's my running back right there."
01:14 He's amazing, you know, the person he is. He's so nice. I mean, I just love, I love blocking for him.
01:21 I don't know if you got to see a video of the Patrick Herbert block that he had on Bucky's block.
01:26 Yes, of course I saw.
01:27 What was your guys' reaction when you saw that?
01:28 Well, I was on the field and I'm running and it was really far away, so I didn't think I was gonna catch up.
01:32 But he was running and I'm saying, "Oh, oh, oh!"
01:36 It was awesome.
01:37 I was like, all the old linemen when we got off to the sideline, went up to him, gave him a little pat,
01:43 saying, "Good job." So it was cool.
01:45 Dex, one of the proverbial quarterbacks of the offense, when you're one of the only two guys to touch the ball every play.
01:51 What does it mean to you, more than nine yards per play?
01:54 I mean, it's awesome. I mean, I don't really look at the stats like that.
01:57 I just look at that we got the win, but, you know, our offensive coordinator, Bo,
02:01 everybody put us in great situations to get there and I just went out there and executed. That's all I did.
