00:00 When Tesla sent us two brand new Model 3 Highlands, the first thing we did was send them to our
00:07 Motor Trend testing crew so they could put them through their paces.
00:12 The AWD dual motor Highland did a 0-60 in 4 seconds and the RWD single motor did it
00:18 in 5.6.
00:21 In braking from 60mph to a dead stop, the AWD car took 114 feet and the RWD took 150.
00:29 But range.
00:30 That's the crucial one.
00:33 We subjected both cars to the Motor Trend Real World Range Test, driving them at 95%
00:38 of their batteries charged and at a constant 70mph.
00:42 The results?
00:43 The standard range Model 3 put down 211 miles, the long range returned 250.
00:48 And just for fun, we tested the old Model 3 long range and it did 258 miles.
00:54 However, we'll also note the old car was using smaller wheels than the new car.
00:58 So it was a bit like comparing gala apples to honey crisp apples.
