Casey Rogers Excited for Physical Battle vs. Utah

Oregon defensive lineman Casey Rogers is ready to bang heads in the trenches against Utah.

00:02 that you're as close to Bo as you are.

00:04 You knew how rough that week was for him.

00:07 What did that mean as a player, as a teammate, looking back at it,

00:10 to see your quarterback go through it all week and you guys win the game the way you

00:14 do and he runs for the first time at the very end and all that?

00:18 >> Yeah, I think it just exemplified a leader and

00:20 it solidified how tough of a kid he is.

00:23 We have a lot of, pretty much everyone on the team follows Bo.

00:27 Obviously being the quarterback, he's in a position of power and position of

00:30 leadership, and to have your head guy, one of your main guys do that,

00:35 it makes the team react in such a positive way.

00:38 The amount of respect that I had already for him,

00:43 it doubled by the end of that game, so that was pretty cool.

00:45 And then had to have him healthy for this year,

00:48 it should be a totally different game for him,

00:49 which would be nice cuz he played well last year.

00:51 So a healthy Bo Nix is a great Bo Nix, which is awesome.

00:55 >> You guys, one of your better games of the season last year against Utah.

00:59 Is this a game where the physical nature of it,

01:01 between the tackles kind of gets you excited a little bit more?

01:05 >> Yeah, I mean, it's one of those games where you're gonna be banging heads in

01:08 the trenches, right?

01:09 So it's as close as a Big Ten style game as you'll get in the Pac-12,

01:14 which I played four years in, so it's something I'm used to, something I enjoy.

01:20 Yeah, last year was awesome, and

01:22 obviously I gotta do it again this year, or it won't mean anything.

01:25 So I'm excited for it, it's one of those games that keeps you up at night,

01:29 just being anxious, being ready for it, excited for it.

01:32 So yeah, it's gonna be a good time, it's gonna be fun.

01:35 >> What have you seen from Barnes, their quarterback,

01:39 in these last couple of weeks?

01:40 What have you seen from him on film or video?

01:41 >> Yeah, I mean, a ton of respect from just from how his path to being

01:46 the starter, obviously Cam is a great player, and it's really unfortunate for

01:51 him to be down this year, but he was given the keys and he's ran with it now.

01:55 So I'm excited to be able to play him, his future's really bright.

01:59 So he's gonna be a really good quarterback, he's gonna be really tough to

02:02 play, he's a pretty dual threat, so it's something we gotta pay attention to.
