00:00 When it comes to surprises in the NFC Conference this season, you've got to put the Los Angeles Rams towards the top.
00:07 What are you seeing out of this Rams team that might surprise you?
00:10 Obviously they have the rookie Puka Nukuwa, who has been outstanding, leading the league in receptions 57 through 7 weeks.
00:18 Pretty crazy. It's going to be a challenge for the Cowboys.
00:21 And then they have their big three core guys.
00:23 Sam Donald, who some people might think is on the trade block or worthy of a phone call. The Cowboys have gotten mentioned in that regard.
00:31 Cooper Cupp, who when he's healthy is just as productive as it gets.
00:36 And then Matthew Stafford, obviously a foundational Ram.
00:40 And a guy with Dallas ties as he comes home here. Went to high school of course at Highland Park.
00:45 I feel like some Cowboys fans are wishing he'd come home for good.
00:49 Yeah, because he's got the Super Bowl on his resume, that gets to set him apart.
00:55 Of course he went a long time without winning anything in Detroit.
01:00 What's interesting about the Rams, they entered the season, management did, talking about how this is a, I don't think they said rebuilding, I think they used the word remodeling.
01:10 This is a remodeling year. And that was not a concession to we're automatically going to be bad.
01:17 They talked about cap wise not being a spender and not being a buyer.
01:21 But now here they sit, now the 49ers are better than they are.
01:25 The 49ers are better than the Rams. Rams fans won't argue with that.
01:29 And Seattle looks to be better than the Rams.
01:32 And I think Seattle fans and Rams fans, tell me I'm right, can agree on that.
01:36 But the Rams are a great example of why you don't give up the season in April or July or even September.
01:44 You develop your rookies.
01:46 You develop your rookies and you try to win with what you've got.
01:49 And the Rams find themselves, there are six and a half point underdogs against Dallas.
01:53 So maybe it all blows up this weekend.
01:55 But the Rams find themselves, as you say, you're developing with Puka and others.
02:00 And then you're relying on foundational guys that still give you a chance to win.
02:04 The Rams aren't the Cowboys. The Rams aren't the 49ers.
02:07 And I don't think the Rams are the Seahawks.
02:09 But there's no reason for the Rams to give up just yet.
02:12 - Yeah.
