00:06 Representative Jared Goldman and all the people of Maine.
00:12 We've done, Jill and I have done too many of these.
00:14 Jill and I are here, though, on behalf of the American people
00:21 to grieve with you and to make sure you know
00:25 that you're not alone.
00:27 We just visited a memorial at the restaurant,
00:31 and we're here at the bowling alley
00:32 where we met with the first responders standing behind me.
00:37 You know, we'll never forget the trauma they experienced.
00:40 As I said, I can't express how much we appreciate what you did.
00:45 And also, the members from the nurses and docs in the hospital
00:51 who took care of these folks.
00:52 I don't know how -- how they do it.
00:56 We're also meeting with survivors and families
00:58 of the victims who have -- will never quite be the same.
01:02 No pain's the same, but we know what it's like
01:06 to lose a piece of our soul.
01:09 And the depths of loss is so profound.
01:13 Some of us have been there.
