Hundreds of passengers boarded this year’s first so-called floating train from Bangkok before sunrise, crossing a reservoir over a series of viaducts to enjoy the spectacular water views.

"During the cool season the water is at the very highest level, so when you cross the reservoir, on both sides of the train, you will see water, give the impression of a floating train," explained train enthusiast and travel blogger Richard Barrow. (Video Courtesy of AFPTV)
