00:00 Good morning everyone, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday, November the 6th.
00:05 Hope you all had a great weekend and a safe bonfire night. I'm just bringing you some headlines
00:10 this morning in relation to bonfire night. We have a story that's going to be going live
00:15 later today with some information and video of some youths who were for some reason firing
00:24 fireworks into the path of oncoming traffic in Doncaster last night. Quite disturbing,
00:32 we're not sure anyone's been injured. Police were called to the scene, we're just waiting to hear
00:36 back from them if they've spoken to anybody about that incident. So keep your eyes peeled for that
00:43 and obviously if you've got any information that can help the police get in touch with them.
00:48 Then something a bit more positive, we've a piece which is about care services in Doncaster. A number
00:57 of care providers have been given really good ratings from the Care Quality Commission.
01:04 They're named in that story and you can see how they fared from the commission there. And then
01:14 finally one that's gone out this morning. Doncaster is one of the areas in South Yorkshire which is
01:21 going to receive a share of over £900,000 to make the streets safer. There are three or four
01:30 particular areas that are going to be targeted in Doncaster. We're talking solar lighting on footpaths,
01:35 extra CCTV, a number of initiatives really to make the city a safer place for people to live.
01:43 So you can read all about that, see the two stories and anything else that's happening
01:47 in Doncaster today at the website which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk. Have a great Monday.
