00:02 Donna, we focus first on the NFC East rivalry.
00:05 You are a Philadelphia guy.
00:08 You know the heartbeat of the city of brotherly love.
00:10 DRS, you know what it means each and every year in the regular season.
00:15 The two most important games are always the games against the Dallas Cowboys,
00:19 certainly the one at Lincoln Financial in Philly as well.
00:23 And what a game it was yesterday.
00:26 The Eagles victorious 28-23.
00:30 But Donny, it was not simple for Philadelphia by any means,
00:34 covering as a three-point home favorite as well.
00:37 They turned the football over, did Dallas, with a minute and 17 seconds left.
00:41 They went for it on fourth down, unable to convert.
00:45 We thought the game was done.
00:46 Philly would ice the clock.
00:48 But Dallas had a ton of timeouts remaining.
00:51 So Philly had to punt it back to Dallas.
00:53 The Cowboys took over Donny with under 40 seconds left and
00:57 drove the length of the field, courtesy of three defensive penalties on Philadelphia,
01:02 only to get to Philly's five-yard line, or six-yard line, rather.
01:06 But it was first and five, two offensive penalties on the Cowboys and
01:11 on the final play of the game with no timeouts remaining.
01:14 Dak Prescott, Donny, throws it short of the end zone to CeeDee Lamb,
01:18 who was immediately swarmed by many Eagles defenders.
01:22 He actually fumbles the football, and then the clocks hit zero.
01:25 Philadelphia victorious 28-23, again, covering as a three-point home favorite.
01:31 >> Seems like the Eagles' ML in the season, Ben,
01:32 is get up multiple touchdowns and just try to hang on at the end.
01:35 And it seems it's happened multiple times this year already,
01:38 which included the Jets game.
01:39 They lost in a similar scenario, where the Eagles probably should have just
01:42 handed the football off and then punted it downfield, would have beaten the Jets.
01:45 But Jalen Hurts made a terrible interception.
01:47 And maybe that played into it late in that football game yesterday,
01:50 where you knew the Dallas Cowboys, who about a minute ago had three timeouts.
01:53 You knew we were probably gonna run into the line two straight times.
01:55 And on the third down, what were you going to do?
01:57 Well, I don't know, maybe not run AJ Brown into DeAndre Swift,
02:00 causing a fumble, which Eagles luckily even got back there.
02:03 But I wanna get to a broader picture here late in that football game.
02:06 You punt the football back to the Dallas Cowboys.
02:09 The returner makes an error by not picking up the ball.
02:11 It rolls an extra ten yards and takes about another five seconds off the clock.
02:14 So essentially 85 yards and no timeouts away from a touchdown,
02:18 which is what you needed here.
02:19 The first play, when you play quarters coverage in the NFL, college football or
02:22 high school football, rule number one is just get back deep.
02:25 Don't let the guy run behind you.
02:27 Bradbury lets him run right behind him and causes the foul.
02:29 It looked like he almost blew his knee out on the play.
02:32 And then you had a tough call against a personal foul,
02:34 roughing the passer, which set the Dallas Cowboys up deep in the Philadelphia
02:38 territory.
02:39 Now they did hold on here, but the bigger picture for
02:41 the Philadelphia Eagles is they're very good on the defensive line.
02:44 They get home and Josh Sweat had a massive sack late in that football game.
02:47 They have two Pro Bowl cornerbacks.
02:49 They also have a solid unit in the safety position.
02:53 But it seems to me that the one thing I can't figure out about the Philadelphia
02:55 Eagles is you say to yourself, okay, they don't have a very good slot corner.
02:58 So that wrecks the entire defense.
03:00 I nailed this game overall.
03:02 I thought the Eagles would win, thought the game would go over.
03:03 Dak would have a huge day in CD land because apparently you're not allowed to
03:07 put your best cornerback on CD lander to the Eagles.
03:09 You let them run wild against Eli Ricks and backup cornerbacks and
03:12 safeties here.
03:13 They're lucky they escaped with a victory, but having said that,
03:16 this is just what the Eagles do.
03:17 Win close games, they're eight and one, best record in the NFL.
03:20 It's not a fluke.
03:21 >> Some people might say it is a fluke in Philadelphia.
03:25 You are wrong.
03:26 The Eagles win football games.
03:28 They have the best record in the NFL.
03:30 They are the only team with one loss in the National Football League.
03:35 They are five, two, and two against the number booked as a favorite in all nine
03:39 games this year as well, the mark of a Super Bowl contender.
03:44 The mark of a truly great team is finding multiple ways to win a football game,
03:49 even if it is ugly, even if it looks a little bit less than desirable.
03:54 And that's what Philly does, the overall outcome and
03:57 result, the most important thing for the bird.
