00:00 Hi, I'm Pauline and I'm from the Alzheimer's Society. I'm a dementia cafe coordinator here in Wigan and I'm also a dementia advisor.
00:09 We're here today at Summit to Eat. It's a fantastic restaurant in Hindley and we've been running our dementia cafes in partnership here with Summit to Eat for 10 years now.
00:21 This is our 10 year anniversary this year. We're very proud of what we do. Originally Summit to Eat approached us to ask us if we would partner with them to apply for the Dementia Friendly Community Initiative competition that was taking place 10 years ago with Wigan Council.
00:43 We were the joint winners of that first Dementia Friendly Community Initiative. There's about 20 of our clients here today and they're here to have a dementia friendly lunch.
00:57 We're all here to have a good time. We've got peer support, we've got trained volunteers, we've got staff from the Alzheimer's Society and we're here to have a great time as we always are once a month on the first Thursday of the month.
