00:00 We're going to type in "sheets.new" onto a window and then from there this pops up.
00:09 From here we're going to set up our equation.
00:12 So we're going to type in "Google Finance" and then start with open parenthesis and then
00:20 we're going to make sure that, yeah, we got to put in our quotations first onto the screen.
00:27 So we're going to put in the ticker symbol for Tesla, "NASDAQ", "Tesla" and then we're
00:33 going to put in the attribute and for this case, oh yeah, don't forget the quotation.
00:39 We're going to put in "close" and then after that we're going to put in the start date
00:47 which in this case is 1/1/2023.
00:50 We have to make sure that 2023 is spelled out rather than just simply 23.
00:58 Then we're going to put in the end date, 12/31/2023 and then the interval which we'll put in is
01:08 daily.
01:09 And so we put that in and then that's going to load up and then we have our historical
01:16 data starting from January 3rd, 2023.
01:21 So we're going to go on to the indirect method of the formula.
01:29 So we're going to open up a new sheet and then we're going to go to the top.
01:33 We're going to put in ticker followed by attribute and then we're going to do start date and
01:44 then type in end date and then the last field which will be for interval.
01:52 So it's the same as the formula that we had in the previous sheet.
01:56 So we're going to put in "NASDAQ colon TSLA" for Tesla.
02:02 Then attribute is going to be the close start date, same as before 1/1/2023, end date 12/31/2023
02:14 and the interview will be daily.
02:16 And so we're going to type in Google Finance for the formula but unlike the previous one
02:24 we're just going to put in the corresponding cells.
02:29 So the ticker is B1.
02:32 So we'll put in B1 and then the attribute is close and don't forget that we've got to
02:43 put in a space between each entry.
02:47 Then start date B3, end date B4 and then the interval is daily B5 and then close parentheses
02:56 and then there.
02:58 That's what it is.
02:59 And so here's what our spreadsheet is going to look like with historical data on the stock
03:05 price.
03:06 So that's how it is.
03:08 Thanks for watching.
03:09 I'm Mike Pearson.
03:10 I'll see you next time.
