Transcript
00:00 New York Giants head coach Brian Dable confirmed that quarterback Daniel Jones's MRI revealed a torn ACL in his right knee.
00:09 Jones was injured on the final play of the first quarter in the team's 30-6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders when he attempted to roll away from pressure.
00:17 He came back out for the start of the second quarter, but his right leg buckled underneath him and he was ruled out of the game.
00:24 With Jones headed for season-ending surgery, Dable said the team will focus for the time being on getting undrafted rookie and New Jersey native Tommy DeVito ready
00:34 and bringing veteran Matt Barkley, whom the team signed to its practice squad a couple weeks ago, up to speed on the offense.
00:41 Dable also did not rule out adding at the position, noting that backup Tyrod Taylor, who is on IR with a rib injury, was not a sure thing to return later in the season.
00:52 And Dable also did not want to speculate so far in advance regarding Jones' future as the team's starting quarterback.
