00:00 On the play where Nick Scott had Dalton Kincaid up in the air, he comes down,
00:05 you have the self-awareness to punch the ball out and
00:08 then Nick Scott's able to recover.
00:11 What was going through your mind during that play?
00:14 >> Well, I got beat on the inside route, so I was like, shit,
00:17 that was my fault.
00:19 And then I was like, so I had to do something fast.
00:21 I had a credit turnover, made a bad play into a good play.
00:25 So Scott did a great thing flipping him in there.
00:27 And that's the most time he vulnerable, he going to the ground with the ball loose,
00:30 so I punched it out.
00:33 >> You're acting like it's no big deal, you're just making up a play.
00:36 But Nick Scott was talking about how impressed he is just with your ability to
00:39 have the knack and the wherewithal to be able to punch those balls out.
00:43 Have you been doing that your entire career?
00:45 When did you start really ramping that up, I guess?
00:47 >> I mean, I just watched Chris Tillman,
00:49 peanut, just watching the way he tacked the ball.
00:52 I grew up, I seen the later in his career cuz I grew up a Panthers fan.
00:56 So I seen him when he started playing for the Panthers and stuff.
00:58 Then I started watching more of him, definitely with the Bears,
01:01 cuz he was punching the ball out a lot.
01:03 So just knowing that ball is the most important thing.
01:06 >> So you got it.
01:08 >> What's been the key to this defense forcing so many turnovers in recent weeks?
01:12 Because obviously during this four game win streak, it's been huge for you guys.
01:16 >> I mean, turnovers win games.
01:17 That's what we pride ourselves on, creating at least two turnovers each game.
01:21 And we have a corner like him getting three pits in four weeks is just huge.
01:27 We ain't seen that in a minute, so I'm just happy for him.
01:29 And that's growing as a defensive unit.
01:32 I mean, just the D line working together, the linebackers working together,
01:36 then the secondary working together.
01:38 So we just come in complete as one.
01:40 Now we able to communicate and play fast and then create more turnovers.
01:44 >> Josh Allen came into this game as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
01:47 How much pride do y'all take in kind of playing as well as y'all did against him?
01:49 >> I mean, he's an elite quarterback.
01:52 It's hard to stop him.
01:54 Dynamic arm, dynamic with his feet, his standing plays.
01:57 He's a great quarterback, no doubt about it.
01:59 But we just had to keep him in the pocket, try to eliminate his scrambling out,
02:05 creating plays, and then stopping digs.
02:07 >> Stuff happened so fast out there.
02:08 Was that a blind punch or
02:10 did you know you were going right at the ball on the fumble?
02:13 >> I knew I was going for the ball.
02:15 I was told some people that I was going for the ball, I was going for a turnover.
02:18 That's my mindset, going for the ball.
02:20 It's huge in critical situations.
02:23 They trying to go points and we trying to stop them from points.
02:25 So I knew I had to attack the ball at some situation.
02:28 >> You've had two straight weeks, you've had a turnover in the red zone.
02:30 Are all turnovers equal?
02:31 Or does those mean a little more?
02:33 >> The next one mean very more, cuz I'm getting one next week.
02:36 >> Do you think you're the best team in the AFC right now?
02:39 >> We gotta keep on working.
02:43 I mean, we haven't played a complete game yet.
02:50 So I say we gotta keep on working.
02:52 The record may not show it, but we gotta keep on working.
02:55 >> Have you ever made a coach throw his play sheet before?
02:58 >> Made a coach play, who did that?
03:01 >> Well, Lou threw it.
03:02 Cam said it was cuz of you.
03:04 >> Yeah, yeah, I did something wrong probably.
03:06 Lou, he tough on me.
03:09 I was his first draft pick.
03:11 So obviously, he's very tough on me.
03:13 We got this love relationship.
03:15 He helped me out a lot.
03:17 He helped me, he seen me grow through the growing pains.
03:20 He just on me hard, but I like being coached hard.
03:23 I like the way Lou is aggressive with me.
