00:13 Victoria has been getting closer to Jacob Gallagher in recent weeks, but next week's

00:17 scenes will see Jacob grow more distant with seemingly no explanation.

00:21 Hodgins, who debuted as Victoria in 2006, spoke with Inside Soap about the upcoming

00:27 scenes, explaining that her character will be left confused by Jacob's apparent change

00:32 of heart.

00:33 "She's not happy," said Hodgins.

00:36 "Jacob was the one who fought for them to be together, so she doesn't get why he's

00:40 done this U-turn.

00:41 She's hurt and confused."

00:43 Speaking about the future for Victoria and Jacob, the star said, "I think they have a

00:48 future together, I don't quite know how.

00:51 It's complicated with David, and Layla hates Victoria, but in the confines of just the

00:55 two of them, there's longevity, they're in love."

00:59 She added, "I think they're very sweet, they're both nice, kind, caring people, and I think

01:05 they have the same morals and values, so it works.

01:08 I tell Victoria to follow her heart, she deserves to be happy and she wants to shout it from

01:13 the rooftops, but she can't, because of obvious reasons."

01:17 Joe Warren-Plant, who has played Jacob since 2010, has also spoken about the storyline,

01:23 saying that his character is worried about having the secret romance discovered by other

01:27 residents of the village.

01:29 "Jacob is super scared about the possibility of anyone finding out, not just Layla and

01:34 David, but everybody else in the village, because people gossip and talk.

01:38 Jacob's smart and he knows how to make sure that people don't find out," he said.

01:43 At the same time, though, sometimes he jumps the gun a little bit or does things without

01:47 really thinking because he's passionate about the situation.

01:51 Sometimes might leave a little trail behind, or put himself in situations which may be

01:55 detrimental as people could find out.
