00:00 Some pretty big official findings today.
00:02 That's part of what we're going to get into here to start.
00:04 We do have our regular scheduled program kind of on the dock and I'm a little bit
00:09 behind on the burning questions.
00:11 I feel like I can come up with those on the spot if need be, but given how long
00:15 those genuinely those generally take and the fact that we've got some other stuff
00:19 to discuss, it will, we'll play that part by year.
00:21 We'll play the burning questions by year.
00:23 Cause we do have obviously some other stuff to do.
00:25 First, people are going to be asking questions.
00:27 I'm even going to ask a question because Chris, this is, this is part of the
00:31 problem with exactly what you pointed out multiple times with people running.
00:37 To the presses as fast as possible saying this saying, I mean, like I've been waiting
00:42 for a doomsday announcement all day today.
00:44 I thought that was, I thought that was imminent.
00:46 Was it not Jim Harbaugh was possibly done at Michigan as of today, according
00:50 to people who are in a pretty, pretty high up spot when it comes to delivering
00:55 the news and instead we pretty much find out that the NCAA didn't find shit on
01:02 Harbaugh and like, now it looks like nothing is going to happen, but yeah.
01:07 I mean, well, it started over the weekend, started over the weekend and there was
01:12 speculation and rumor that, um, the big 10, uh, based on, you know, obviously
01:18 all the meetings took place last week.
01:20 Tony Petiti commissioner of the big 10 met with, um, you know, virtually met
01:24 with the head coaches from around the big 10 met with athletic directors from
01:28 around the big 10 and the general consensus was that they all wanted some
01:32 sort of immediate punishment, regardless of whether or not the NCAA investigation
01:35 was ongoing on Friday, uh, Tony Petiti met with, uh, president Santa Ohno.
01:41 And by all accounts, Ohno basically said, uh, we're not going to go along with
01:46 anything, anything in terms of, uh, any sort of punishment, particularly as it
01:50 relates to spending Jim Harbaugh.
01:52 Um, and then that, that letter that he wrote to Tony Petiti was published
01:56 where he, you know, he basically said, we're, we're asking for due process
01:59 and for you to give us the same respect that any other team, the big 10 would get.
02:03 Petiti was likely saying, Oh no.
02:07 When he left that meeting.
02:08 Am I right?
02:08 Am I right?
02:09 Yeah.
02:09 Uh,
02:10 um, so over the weekend, uh, you know, rumors and speculation started to
02:20 swirl on, uh, on message boards and in various places, basically saying that
02:25 the big 10 was preparing to act this week, that it looked like the target
02:29 was on Jim Harbaugh, that a suspension could be imminent, but also that.
02:33 Uh, the university of Michigan was fully prepared to fight it.
02:36 And you know what, since there's so much speculation, just flying on, uh, around
02:41 there, I'm going to, I'm going to let some of that out here on the show, uh,
02:45 just to kind of, you know, keep people up to date as to what I was hearing.
02:47 So, you know, the university of Michigan was not only prepared for a legal
02:51 battle in terms of, of defending Jim Harbaugh and his right to due process.
02:55 And, you know, setting a new president, a precedent by, you know, uh, handing
02:59 out some sort of punishment without a completed investigation, but also.
03:02 The university of Michigan is also apparently in a possession of evidence
03:07 that would implicate other programs around the country, uh, for, you know,
03:12 possibly spying on Michigan practices, having, you know, certain materials
03:17 that they're not supposed to have certain things related to, to, um, NIL deals
03:22 that weren't quite on the up and up.
03:23 And so basically Michigan is armed for the fight with the big 10 and is basically
03:28 daring the big 10 to act at this point.
03:30 Um, and that's kind of where we're at today.
03:33 Now you get this, this, uh, this report from Larry Lage of the
03:36 associate associated press that just dropped not too long ago, where a
03:41 unnamed individual who worked for a, another big 10 football program said,
03:46 look, my job was to steal signs.
03:49 And I worked with other programs and, you know, part of my deal was to go
03:53 ahead and gather Intel on the university of Michigan, put it into a spreadsheet
03:57 and basically disseminate it to, you know, other programs within the
04:02 conference to try to beat Michigan.
04:03 This was going on last year.
04:04 And so I think this idea that what was happening was unique to Michigan.
04:11 I think everybody already kind of knew that it was bullshit, but you see the
04:15 report from Larry and it's like, okay, now some people are starting to come
04:18 forward and it sounds like Michigan is fully prepared to expose some other
04:22 folks as well, if this does indeed go to a legal battle.
