00:19 Nissan has made a big splash with the full-size Titan pickup truck,
00:23 really challenging the domestic establishment with big power, big size, big muscle.
00:28 Now they're going to translate that spirit and that engineering to the smaller trucks,
00:32 the Frontier series, and also the Pathfinder SUV.
00:35 Beyond the clear distinctive styling resemblance to the full-size Titan,
00:39 the Frontier also packs a lot of muscle.
00:42 Underneath this hood is a 4-liter V6 producing more than 250 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.
00:49 Like the current truck, the new Frontier is going to be offered in two-wheel and four-wheel drive.
00:53 Body configurations will include the king cab and a crew cab.
00:56 There will no longer be a standard cab truck.
00:59 Now back we're seeing some new things.
01:01 This, like the Titan, comes with a factory spray-in bed liner, offering protection right from the plant.
01:06 It also has available a bed rail system, which, like in the Titan,
01:10 allows accessories to be fitted and moved back and forth,
01:13 whether they're tie-downs for recreational vehicles or tool boxes.
01:19 Now let's see how these new attributes have been applied to the Pathfinder sport utility vehicle.
01:24 Pathfinder now bears a resemblance to the Titan, as does the Frontier, giving it a bolder, stronger look.
01:30 Like the Frontier, this is a bigger vehicle.
01:32 It's longer, wider, and taller, offering more passenger space and really more capacity overall.
01:38 Likewise, under hood is the same 4-liter V6 with more than 250 horsepower.
01:43 Inside, we're going to find more room for passengers, not only up front,
01:47 but also in the back, as a third row is now available.
01:50 And keeping with Nissan's new designs for interiors, inside the Pathfinder is very clean,
01:56 very straight lines, very linear surfaces.
01:59 It gives a very modern, upscale appearance that's not traditionally expected in a sport utility,
02:04 or certainly not a pickup truck.
02:06 As the Pathfinder has grown in nearly every dimension, the cargo space is also larger,
02:11 accommodating the needs of growing families and positioning this not so much in the compact class
02:16 where the Pathfinder has dominated in the past, but actually moving it more into the midsize class.
02:21 Both the Pathfinder and the Frontier are expected to go on sale in fall 2004.
02:26 And in keeping with the Titan pricing, we're expecting these to be positioned very aggressively in their segments.
