Transcript
00:00 I'm Charles Stetler from Carson City, Nevada.
00:08 I'm working in a detail shop right now to get through school, pay my bills, hopefully
00:12 get out of here and get a good job, work for Mercedes-Benz, and eventually open up my own
00:16 custom fabrication shop.
00:26 Back in high school I didn't know what I was going to do.
00:28 I wasn't too sure about my career or anything else like that.
00:32 All my friends used to come over and we used to play with their trucks, fix them, replace
00:36 parts, make them go faster.
00:38 One day during my senior year in my garage about three in the morning working on my truck
00:43 I decided to make a career out of doing what I was doing at home.
01:08 It's an '81 Toyota pickup truck with 529s and differential, chromoly shafts front and
01:13 rear, longfields in the front, ARB airlocker in the front, Detroit in the rear, homemade
01:17 custom roll cage.
01:19 It's got dual Toyota transfer cases with a 4 to 1 kit transfer case in one.
01:23 It gives me a final drive ratio of a 200 to 1 kit ratio.
01:28 Running a stock 22R motor in there.
01:30 I rolled my truck six times before and hammered the bed of the truck so I ended up cutting
01:34 the bed off, throwing that away.
01:35 Built an excellent cage here without the bed, we call it a flatbed.
