00:00 The practice of changing life partners for perverse sexual desires that came into light
00:06 in Kerala for years has created a stir across the country. On November 9, Chennai police
00:12 busted a sex racket disguised as a wife-swapping party. The wife-swapping party was arranged
00:18 at a farmhouse in Panayur on East Coast Road in Chennai. The complaints were filed by neighbours
00:24 after they found several men coming to the house in large numbers. The police have arrested
00:29 eight people so far in the case. According to a report, the party was promoted and discreetly
00:34 advertised on social media as well. The racket operating for the last eight years in Chennai
00:39 and other cities targeted single men and lured them into participating in wife-swapping parties.
00:45 The targeted men were introduced to some women as their wives by the accused and they were
00:49 encouraged to swap their partners in the name of wife-swapping. According to the police,
00:55 Senthil Kumar and Jayalakshmi of Coimbatore had booked a farmhouse in Panayur for their
00:59 birthday celebration. This party involved eight couples and ten young people, including
01:04 women in drunken states. Police arrested eight women and 15 men who revealed they had been
01:09 conducting the event since 2018. The police registered a case against a man named Senthil,
01:15 who created a page on social media for sex enjoyment. The eight arrested accused have
01:20 been identified as Senthil Kumar, Kumar, Chandramohan, Sankar Velraj, Perarasan, Selvan and Venkatesh
01:27 Kumar for organising these wife-swapping parties. Apart from the arrest, the police has also
01:33 rescued several women, all aged between 30 and 40. They charged men between Rs 13,000
01:38 and Rs 25,000 for participating, promising them access to multiple women. Police raided
01:43 the house and found middle-aged businessmen in separate rooms with women. The victims
01:48 were all married women and were offered hefty amounts for the work. After the party ended,
01:53 10 people who came alone left. Though scouts said that a party will be held tomorrow and
01:58 that the person who wants to participate can contact them and tell them to pay of at least
02:02 Rs 30,000, police found that Senthil created a page on social media called Swap Party and
02:08 was sharing photos of many women in the name of sexual enjoyment. Therefore, the Chennai
02:14 police also quoted they rescued several women who were lured into the crime by the big money
02:19 offered by the Swap Party. The rescued women, all married, were allowed to leave after providing
02:24 written statements. The eight arrested men were remanded in judicial custody after they
02:29 were produced before a magistrate court on Tuesday.
