00:00 that moment in the other day, you'd be having a different story altogether.
00:04 It's not that, but is there something you take from that?
00:07 Do you go, can we still recapture that feeling of, hey,
00:11 we got the ball in the end zone under tight pressure there?
00:14 >> Yeah, I mean, if you look at it from kind of an overview look, then yeah,
00:18 we'd scored when we needed to.
00:19 But I think the tale of it was not scoring in the third quarter.
00:24 And then on that drive alone, yeah, we overcame some things.
00:27 There are self-inflicted penalties, and a third and 23 is not where you wanna be on
00:31 a critical drive in the fourth quarter, need to score a touchdown.
00:33 So luckily, Trey ran a great route over the middle and
00:37 was able to get close enough to be able to convert on fourth down.
00:39 But yeah, I mean, we showed that we can get it done when we need to, but
00:44 there's still the same story of self-inflicted things that we need to
00:48 eliminate.
00:49 >> You scored the most points for the whole season for this team.
00:53 What would you attribute to what worked on Sunday to put up those numbers?
00:57 >> I think we ran the ball better.
00:59 And I think we had our shots and we took them when we were there.
01:03 Obviously, would have had another touchdown throw on the,
01:07 it was pass interference on Trey, kinda got my arm hit the pocket, but
01:10 good drop by him.
01:11 Just different things, I think we just executed better.
01:15 There were still some of the things we needed to get cleaned up, but
01:18 we executed better overall.
01:19 Like I said, there was that lull in the third quarter,
01:21 which is what we're really focused on.
01:23 We started fast, but when we come out of halftime,
01:25 it's gotta be the same mentality.
01:26 Hit the reset button, zero, zero mentality, come out and start fast as well.
01:29 >> That connection with K-Dot and
01:31 the impressive two touchdowns in that game, just what was working so
01:35 well for you guys and how did you build on that going forward?
01:38 >> It was the power of the mustache, honestly, the connection there.
01:40 >> [LAUGH] >> With two touchdowns.
01:42 No, but K just, he's gonna run the right route based on coverage.
01:46 He's gonna be in the right spot.
01:47 So yeah, that first one, he did a great job just
01:52 helping out protection.
01:53 He's not the first read, he understands the concept,
01:56 coming in late for when they drop out of their zone coverage.
01:58 So he did a great job on that one.
01:59 And then the fourth quarter one, he told me exactly what he was gonna do.
02:03 If it was a certain coverage, it happened to be that way.
02:05 So that open communication line between skill guys and the QB is so important.
02:10 So I think we have that throughout the whole skill group.
02:13 But yeah, K just continues to do that consistently.
02:16 >> You've thrown just the four interceptions this year, time for
02:19 the second use in the NFL, what are your completion percentages?
02:24 Do you feel you're having one of your better years?
02:25 >> Yes and no.
02:28 There's still some of the deeper shots that I want back that I wanna hit.
02:32 But yeah, definitely taking what's there when defense is dropping out,
02:36 some softer coverages, taking completions.
02:37 And I think that's just a part of growing in the game overall,
02:41 just having more experience, not getting too aggressive, not trying to be greedy.
02:43 So, and it's also just trusting our skill guys,
02:46 knowing that we have the talent, and so just distributing the ball.
02:50 >> Where do you see the biggest growth with the offense,
02:52 just in terms of the progress?
02:53 >> We've been talking about the run game, but
02:58 I think you saw just being on the same page on Sunday of just better execution
03:02 overall, whether it's communication up front, guys finishing the blocks,
03:05 down the field blocks.
03:06 And so we were better in that aspect.
03:08 So I think just the overall understanding of our system
03:12 is that's continuing to get better and better the more reps we get.
