A man who drove a van into two men has been convicted of murder and attempted murder. An off duty fire fighter has been praised after sh attempted to save a life after administering CPR to a woman who had collapsed in the street. New bus service launched during Go North East strikes.

00:09 Earlier this year, Toby Kelly ran over an ambulance worker and his friend in the car
00:13 park of the Bay Horse in Cramlington.
00:16 Police launched an investigation and Kelly denied the charges but was found guilty of
00:20 both offences.
00:21 An off-duty firefighter has been praised after she attempted to save a life after administrating
00:26 CPR to a woman who had collapsed in the street.
00:29 Leanne McGee saw a woman collapse at Tynemouth Metro station and began emergency first aid
00:34 but unfortunately the woman later died.
00:36 The Ambulance Service have praised Leanne for her actions.
00:40 And finally, a bus service has been launched to help with transport whilst bus drivers
00:43 are on strike.
00:45 The C4 bus will run hourly between the galleries to Heworth Interchange in Gateshead and will
00:50 run until the Go North East strike comes to an end.
