00:04 Let's see what weather is making news today and we begin with a new study about wildfires

00:08 in the U.S.

00:09 Forest fires may get more attention, but a new study reveals that grassland fires are

00:14 more widespread and destructive across the U.S.

00:17 The study found grass and shrub fires burned more land than forest fires did and they destroyed

00:22 more homes too.

00:24 Wildfire risk to homes is especially high in areas where the built environment meets

00:28 wild vegetation, a region called the wildland urban interface.

00:33 This year's Lahaina fire in Hawaii is an example of such a fire.

00:37 Our next story takes us to one of the pollution capitals of the world, New Delhi, India.

00:42 They're so fed up with their pollution that they have an idea to wash it all out of the

00:45 air.

00:46 They're spending about $120,000 on a cloud seeding venture in order to make it rain.

00:52 Unfortunately cloud seeding is usually not too productive.

00:55 We wish them luck.

00:57 And finally we have a very patriotic story for you.

01:00 The National Park Service will provide free entrance to everyone this Saturday to commemorate

01:05 Veterans Day.

01:06 That's right, everyone gets a free one day pass to any national park this Saturday.

01:11 Many of these parks will also hold special events to commemorate our veterans.

01:15 Also if you're a retired veteran, you can obtain a free lifetime pass for the national

01:20 parks.

01:21 Okay guys, it's Friday and that means it's time for this week's AccuWeather social poll.
