01:01 This is a story about an elephant.
01:04 Oh, not an ordinary elephant, a very small elephant.
01:10 His name was Goliath II, and he was hardly any bigger than one
01:15 of his father's toenails.
01:17 Hey, Pop.
01:19 Hi.
01:20 But his father, Goliath I, was a mammoth tusker,
01:24 the biggest elephant in all the jungle.
01:29 And in elephant society, the bigger you are,
01:32 the better you are.
01:34 [ELEPHANT TRUMPETING]
01:37 [THEME MUSIC]
01:40 Big Goliath had always wished for a son who would
01:46 grow to be a giant like himself.
01:48 [THEME MUSIC]
01:52 Gee whiz, that was great.
01:56 Look at, Pop.
01:57 Watch me, Pop.
01:58 [ELEPHANT TRUMPETING]
02:02 And to be blessed with such a tiny, insignificant son
02:07 was, of course, a tremendous disappointment.
02:10 I'll show you, Pop.
02:11 [ELEPHANT TRUMPETING]
02:15 A gigantic blow to his enormous pride.
02:20 Father!
02:21 Some father you are.
02:29 Shame on you, you big overstuffed blimp.
02:35 You see, his mother, well, like most mothers,
02:38 was proud of her little son, no matter what.
02:41 Now, now, don't worry, son.
02:45 Brute strength isn't everything.
02:48 You'll amount to something someday.
02:51 Just wait and see.
02:53 But raising such a tiny son in the savage, unfriendly jungle
02:58 was a big problem and a constant worry.
03:05 Her number one worry was Rajah, a crafty old tiger who could
03:10 hardly take his greedy eyes off little Goliath.
03:13 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:17 [LAUGHING]
03:20 All his life, he'd been curious to taste an elephant.
03:25 And now, at last, he'd found one just bite size.
03:32 And at the very first opportunity--
03:36 [GASPING]
03:37 [ELEPHANT TRUMPETING]
03:40 [GROANING]
03:42 You bloodthirsty old scoundrel.
03:46 Eloise!
03:47 Why don't you watch where you're going, you clumsy ox?
03:55 Now, don't you clumsy ox me.
03:57 I can't watch out for your precious little brat.
03:59 That's your worry.
04:00 If you think I'm going to pussyfoot around the rest
04:02 of my life just because--
04:03 Goliath!
04:04 Goliath!
04:07 Oh, Goliath, what on earth will I ever do?
04:13 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:16 [YELLING]
04:33 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:37 [YELLING]
04:40 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:44 [THUD]
05:04 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:08 Stop!
05:21 Stop!
05:23 For heaven's sake, stop!
05:25 [YELLING]
05:27 [GUNSHOTS]
05:31 [GUNSHOTS]
05:34 Goliath's lost.
05:38 He's gone!
05:39 He's gone!
05:42 Goliath!
05:45 Goliath!
05:47 Goliath!
05:49 Goliath!
05:52 Goliath!
05:55 And where, oh, where could he be?
05:58 Oh, good gracious, Goliath.
06:01 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:04 Goliath!
06:07 Goliath!
06:12 Oh, dear me, Goliath.
06:18 Good gracious.
06:19 Oh.
06:20 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:25 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:28 Oh, Goliath!
06:34 Goliath!
06:39 Mother!
06:44 Mother!
06:46 Mother!
06:49 [SCREAMS]
06:51 Here I am, Mother.
06:54 Down here, Mother.
06:55 Mother!
07:00 Mother, Mother, Mother!
07:03 [SCREAMS]
07:06 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:09 Mother!
07:17 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:21 [GROANING]
07:25 Goliath, Goliath, how many times have I told
07:33 you not to wander off that way?
07:36 Now, you stay right here.
07:38 You're getting to be a terrible nuisance.
07:39 Now, stop being a pest.
07:41 [MUSIC PLAYING]
07:46 Goliath was very tired of being treated like a baby.
07:50 He was nine years old.
07:53 At least he would be in eight months.
07:55 And he could take care of himself.
07:58 And if he was nothing but a pest, oh, then all right.
08:02 He'd run away.
08:03 That's what he'd do at the very first chance, too.
08:06 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:10 [GULPING]
08:13 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:16 And I'm never coming back either.
08:26 Never, never, never.
08:28 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:31 [GROANING]
08:38 [MUSIC PLAYING]
08:41 [GIGGLING]

09:31 Father!
09:34 [GASPING]
09:35 Goliath!
09:37 Father, father, father!
09:38 [MUSIC PLAYING]
09:42 You-- you moth-eaten old polecat!
09:50 [SQUEAKING]
09:53 [MUSIC PLAYING]
09:56 [GASPING]
10:01 [CRASH]
10:02 Well, that was the end of old Roger.
10:05 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:08 [SCREAMING]
10:11 At least he was never seen again.
10:13 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:16 But it wasn't the end of Goliath's troubles.
10:19 [SQUEAKING]
10:20 Oh, not by any means.
10:22 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:24 You see, according to the elephant law,
10:27 deserting the herd is a major offense.
10:32 And the deserter is branded a scoundrel,
10:36 a rogue elephant, a traitor to that high and imperial order
10:41 of pompous pachyderms.
10:44 But worst of all, he had disgraced his great father.
10:49 [MUSIC PLAYING]
10:52 M-m-mouse!
11:00 [SQUEAKING]
11:02 [CRASHING]
11:03 Oh!

11:16 Help!
11:17 Mouse!

11:27 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:30 [CRASHING]
11:32 [SQUEAKING]
11:35 [MUSIC PLAYING]
11:36 Goliath's mother was so terrified
11:38 that for the first time in her life,
11:40 she forgot all about her tiny son.
11:43 And little Goliath was left alone to face
11:46 the terror of all terrors.
11:48 [GIGGLING]
11:50 Oh, oh, amazing!
11:53 I can't understand it.
11:55 Those big blimps are afraid of--
11:57 hey, what's this?
12:00 What's the trouble, buster?
12:03 Kids, they're--
12:05 I'm not scared at all.
12:07 You're not?
12:08 I'm just as big as you are.
12:10 Well, that's not the point, kid.
12:12 I'm a mouse.
12:14 You're an elephant.
12:16 At least you look like one.
12:17 You got a trunk, flappy ears, baggy pants.
12:25 [CRASHING]
12:27 Look, kid, I'll give you a break.
12:30 I'm going to count to three.
12:32 And then, if you're not born, I'll tear you to shreds!
12:39 Here goes.
12:40 One.
12:42 Better get moving.
12:44 Two.
12:46 I'm warning you, kid.
12:49 Three.
12:52 OK.
12:53 You asked for it, buster!
12:56 [MUSIC PLAYING]
12:59 Oh, this is going to be murder.
13:02 Just plain murder.
13:05 Hey!
13:07 You're smart, Alex, little punk.
13:10 Oh, brother, this is pitiful.
13:13 Oh!
13:19 Oh!
13:20 Eee-hoo!
13:21 [MUMBLING]
13:24 Oh.
13:26 [CRASH]
13:28 Oh.
13:29 Take that, buster!
13:31 Hey, cut it out!
13:36 All right, you pesky little pack of things.
13:38 You give up?
13:40 No!
13:41 Never, never, never!
13:43 OK, off you go, buster!
13:49 Hey!
13:50 Ooh, hey, don't let me down, kid.
13:53 Oh, pal, oh, pal, oh, pal.
13:57 I give up.
13:58 You win.
13:59 Oh, you're the champ.
14:02 OK?
14:03 OK?
14:04 OK.
14:05 Phew.
14:06 [MUSIC PLAYING]
14:10 [LAUGHING]
14:22 [MUSIC PLAYING]
14:26 As a reward for his extraordinary bravery,
14:31 Goliath was given the very highest position
14:34 in the elephant herd.
14:37 A place of honor on his father's head.
14:40 And his mother's worries were over.
14:43 For now, the whole herd looks after her precious little Goliath.
14:47 They wouldn't lose him for anything in the world.
