One of two altercations on Capitol Hill broke out during a Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions hearing when Sen. Markwayne Mullin, an Oklahoma Republican, and Teamsters President Sean O'Brien nearly came to blows. Earlier in the day, Rep. Tim Burchett, a Tennessee Republican, accused former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of deliberately elbowing him in the back.

00:00 Now, let's talk about Mr. O'Brien himself, his behavior.
00:03 As everybody knows, and it's here, and the last time him and I kind of had a back and
00:06 forth.
00:07 I appreciate your demeanor today.
00:08 It's quite different.
00:09 But after you left here, you got pretty excited about the keyboard.
00:12 In fact, you tweeted at me one, two, three, four, five times.
00:21 And let me read what the last one said.
00:23 It said, "Greedy CEO who pretends like he's self-made."
00:28 Sir, I wish you was in the truck with me when I was building my plumbing company myself
00:33 and my wife was running the office because I sure remember working pretty hard and long
00:38 hours.
00:39 "Pretends like he's self-made.
00:42 What a clown.
00:44 Fraud.
00:45 Always has been.
00:46 Always will be.
00:48 Quit the tough guy act and these Senate hearings.
00:51 You know where to find me.
00:53 Any place, any time, cowboy."
00:55 Sir, this is a time, this is a place.
00:58 If you want to run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults.
01:02 We can finish it here.
01:03 Okay, that's fine.
01:04 Perfect.
01:05 You want to do it now?
01:06 I'd love to do it right now.
01:07 Well, stand your butt up then.
01:08 You stand your butt up.
01:09 Oh, hold on.
01:10 Stop it.
01:11 Is that your solution?
01:12 No, no, sit down.
01:13 Sit down.
01:14 You're a United States Senator.
01:15 Actively.
01:16 Okay.
01:17 Sit down, please.
01:18 All right.
01:19 Can I respond?
01:20 Hold it.
01:21 Hold it.
01:22 If we can't -- no, I have the mic.
01:23 I'm sorry.
01:24 This is what he said.
01:25 Hold it.
01:26 You'll have your time.
01:27 Okay.
01:28 Can I respond?
01:29 No, you can't.
01:30 This is a hearing.
01:31 And God knows the American people have enough contempt for Congress.
01:35 Let's not make it worse.
01:36 I don't like thugs and bullies.
01:37 I don't like you because you just described yourself.
01:38 Hold it.
01:39 Hold it.
01:40 You have the mic.
01:41 You have time.
01:42 Make your statement.
01:43 All right.
01:44 Then let's do this because I did challenge you and I accepted your challenge and you
01:49 went quiet.
01:50 No, I didn't go quiet.
01:51 I was --
01:52 No, hold on.
01:53 You challenged me to a cage match.
01:54 You challenged me to a cage match acting like a 12-year-old schoolyard bully.
01:57 Hold it.
01:58 No, excuse me.
01:59 I have the mic.
02:00 I will say --
02:01 Senator Mullen, I have the mic.
02:02 You have questions on any economic issues, anything that's -- go for it.
02:06 We're not here to talk about physical abuse.
02:08 You brought --
02:09 We're not talking about -- of course I did.
02:10 Let me show you his hearing because I want to expose this thug to who he is.
02:15 You're not pointing at me.
02:17 That's disrespectful.
02:18 All right.
02:19 I don't care about respecting you at all.
02:20 I respect people I respect.
02:21 I don't respect you at all.
02:22 All right.
02:23 Hold it.
02:24 Hold it.
02:25 You don't want to --
02:26 Hold it.
02:27 Hold it.
02:28 Please.
02:29 All right.
02:30 This is a -- excuse me.
02:33 This is a hearing to discuss economic issues.
02:37 All right.
02:38 If you have questions for Mr. O'Brien or anybody else on what he has said, go for it.
02:44 But we're not here to talk about fights or anything else.
02:48 I'm quoting exactly what he said.
02:50 You can say what you want.
02:51 This is your witness you brought.
02:53 I'm exposing him as a person who is.
