Dan Dickau analyzes Gonzaga's win over Eastern Oregon

Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau breaks down the Bulldogs' 123-57 victory over the Mountaineers.

00:03 123-57, a blowout win for the Zags over Eastern Oregon.

00:09 Kind of what was expected based upon the matchups with Eastern Oregon the last

00:14 two years, just the lack of size for Eastern Oregon.

00:18 But also I think a lot of just execution and

00:23 play from Gonzaga that led to the lopsided victory.

00:26 Five Zags and double figures just as there were five Zags and

00:29 double figures against Yale led by Graham E.K.

00:33 25 points, 11 rebounds, 11 of 12 from the field.

00:36 He was tremendous tonight.

00:38 Tied a career high with three assists, so he did a nice job of understanding,

00:41 recognizing when a double may come, move it, find the next guy as well as a couple

00:46 good passes in high-low situations.

00:48 But Braden Huff, another dominant performance for the freshman, 23 points.

00:54 Anton Watson, 20, and then you also had Ben Gregg with 10, and

00:58 Nolan Hickman with 12 points to go alongside five assists on the night.

01:02 So a well-balanced effort, well-rounded effort for Gonzaga.

01:06 It was nice to see guys like Luka Kranjovic get some minutes,

01:10 become a little bit more comfortable.

01:12 The opportunity to play through some mistakes and

01:14 get some experience as they lead into Maui.

01:16 Same thing with June, had a nice effort tonight with nine points.

01:21 Gonzaga was able to go fairly deep into their bench.

01:23 But I think this is important because they head to Maui now where there will be

01:27 three games in three days, and it's gonna be hard to play those backcourt guys,

01:32 Hickman and Nemhart, 40 minutes.

01:35 Coach Phiu will not be scared to do it, but you would like to be able to give

01:38 those guys a little bit of a rest and break when possible.

01:40 So all things being said, Gonzaga with the win, 123-57.

01:45 They head off to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational, where up next,

01:50 number two ranked Purdue and reigning National Player of the Year, Zach Eaddy.

01:55 So it gets a lot tougher.
