How much power does KTM’s all-new 450 SX-F make on our in-house dyno? And how does it compare to last year’s model? We have the answers to both questions here.

--

KTM’s 450 SX-F is no stranger to the Dirt Rider dyno, having produced some of the highest horsepower and torque numbers in the 450 motocross segment since 2020 and the most last year. With its full revamp for MY23, the fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc engine spun 54.3 hp and 33.8 lb.-ft. of torque on the Dirt Rider in-house Dynojet rear-wheel dyno. Compared to the 2022 model, that’s a decrease of 0.7 hp and 0.5 lb.-ft. of torque at peak, but the new engine makes more of both from idle to 4,300 rpm and 10,400 rpm to 11,200 rpm. What hasn’t changed is KTM is still a top-three finisher in maximum horsepower and torque, and our 450 motocross bike comparison.
