00:00 SA Police's major crime investigation branch ordered the arrest of 43-year-old Lisa Lyons.
00:08 The former Adelaide woman was taken into custody last night on the island of Palau in the Western
00:12 Pacific.
00:13 She'll face charges on two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder following
00:18 a long-running investigation into a violent attack at a Little Hampton home in 2017.
00:24 Her former partner, Jonathan Horton, was hit repeatedly in the neck with an axe and was
00:29 accused of shooting her new lover, Zachariah Bruckner, during the incident.
00:34 The attack left Mr Horton a quadriplegic.
00:37 Police later charged him with the attempted shooting murder of Mr Bruckner, with the prosecution
00:42 alleging the axe blows were a result of self-defence.
00:45 However, Mr Horton was found not guilty at a 2019 trial.
00:51 Major crime detectives launched a review of the case in 2020, which they say identified
00:56 evidence that led to Lisa Lyons being arrested.
00:59 And last night, they also arrested Zachariah Bruckner in Brisbane and have sought his extradition
01:04 to South Australia on charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to murder.
01:09 Police say the investigation is ongoing and they aren't ruling out further arrests or
01:13 charges.
