00:00 >> Yes and no.
00:02 I think a good part about when teams are pressuring us,
00:05 we have a really good plan about how we wanna attack it,
00:07 the answers within the system, that communication throughout the week's
00:11 really, really clear.
00:12 So if you're on the same page, you have the schemes to be able to
00:17 carve people up when they do pressure.
00:19 There's obviously less defenders in coverage, so it works both ways.
00:23 >> San Francisco is one of the top teams in the league in pressure.
00:25 They don't come up with a lot of sack, but they do pressure quite a bit.
00:27 >> Yeah, I mean, their defense as a whole has studs all around.
00:30 So yeah, gotta be clued into their blitz packages and
00:33 obviously just have to handle the front in general.
00:35 But that's their starting point and
00:37 allows for those linebackers that are both studs to play pretty free.
00:40 >> Baker, at the same time, with the front four that they have,
00:43 they don't have to blitz if they don't want to, right?
00:45 >> Yep. >> Those guys are good in front.
00:47 Can you just speak to the talent they have to get to reverse grounders on that line?
00:50 If you're on Hargreeve,
00:51 the free agent acquisition might be playing the best out of them all.
00:54 >> Yeah, it's one of those things like when you write down your scouting report,
00:58 when you do the Eagles and you do the 49ers, they're too deep on the front.
01:03 To say the least, it's damn impressive.
01:04 So when you have some of those guys rotating in for fresh legs, it's impressive.
01:08 So just gotta have a good plan,
01:10 a concise plan to know how we wanna attack these guys.
01:12 And they're really good, so we have to expect that they're gonna give us some fits
01:17 and some challenges on different things.
01:18 And so just gotta game plan it and find out ways to stay ahead of the chains.
01:24 >> Is it surprising, Baker, after nine games that Chris only has one touchdown
01:28 catch, does that surprise you, what's going on in the red zone with Dodd?
01:34 >> There's been a couple that we're really close on, to be honest with you.
01:36 I think there's one play against New Orleans where the interception four
01:41 half times should have been a touchdown.
01:44 And then he got subbed out and Trey Palmer wound up catching a quick fly for
01:48 a touchdown.
01:49 There's just little things here and there that you just haven't timed out right.
01:51 But he's one of those guys that he's been so
01:54 crucial for us just within the system as a whole third down conversions and
01:57 especially.
01:58 But yeah, we'd love to get him in the end zone more, but
02:00 we'll take any sort of touchdown.
02:01 >> This might have been the Ohio State Oklahoma thing, but
02:05 does Nick Bosa talk a lot when you're out there?
02:07 >> [LAUGH] No, I mean, I've only played him a couple times.
02:12 The first year definitely, he was his rookie year.
02:15 But it's fun.
02:15 He's a good guy, obviously a great competitor and a stud.
02:18 So he's one of those challenges that you look forward to going up against and
02:22 competing with.
02:22 >> We're only halfway through the season.
02:25 Who knows what the second half will be, right?
02:27 Everything is still in front of you guys as far as division and whatnot.
02:30 But for your perspective, as you kind of look at it, take a step back,
02:34 if I can get you to do that now, you're in the hunt.
02:36 Best good decision, good fit for you, like everything seems to,
02:41 if I look around the other free agent quarterbacks out there,
02:45 you have the best rating of anybody in the South and beyond.
02:49 So you feel pretty good about the way things have turned out to this point.
02:52 >> Absolutely, I've said it time and time again, and it's not gonna change.
02:55 Just the organization as a whole from when I've come in,
02:58 it's been really clear about what they wanna get done, about where we're headed.
03:01 And as these games have gone on, just offensively for
03:04 us about how we're growing in the system.
03:05 It's been, this is where we wanna be at, this is what we need to get done.
03:08 And so it's just, when it's clear and concise, I can fall in line no matter
03:12 what, so we're all just trying to get better each day as an offense and
03:16 trying to continue to improve.
03:17 And now we get a better opponent to be able to go up against and
03:21 see what we're made of as well.
03:22 >> Has there been any discussions with you or
03:24 your representation about extending for next year?
03:27 >> Not that I know of, but for me, I'm just taking care of it one game at a time,
03:31 and the rest will fall into place.
