  • last year
Shubman 'Prince' Gill is the heir apparent to Virat 'King' Kohli. On Wednesday (November 15, 2023), the youngster witnessed the master become the first player in history to score 50 ODI centuries. After India's 70-run win against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Gill said "Every time he [Kohli] comes on to the park, he does something special, and just how consistently he has been able to do it for the past 10-15 years is what is really inspiring." Gill played two 'knocks' in the match and remained unbeaten on 80 off 66, having initially retired hut due to cramps. (Video: ICC)

00:02 - You know, every time he comes on to the park,
00:06 he does something special and just how consistently
00:10 he's been able to do it for the past 10, 15 years
00:13 is what is really inspiring.

00:21 the skill that he has, but it's more about the hunger
00:24 when he goes there and the intensity at which
00:26 he plays the game is what inspires me.

00:31 for as long as he's been doing it
00:35 is what really inspires me.
