00:00 Welcome Ravens fans into a victory edition of the Ravens Daily Blitz.
00:14 Cincinnati Bengals go down in Baltimore 34 to 20 in kind of a strange injury riddled
00:23 Thursday night football game.
00:24 And you know, all the Thursday night football games are weird.
00:27 It seems like most of them are just bad, but we had what we thought was going to be an
00:31 exciting showdown between two AFC North teams, both in the hunt for the AFC North crown here
00:39 at the end of the year.
00:40 We at least we think we thought, but the Ravens advanced to eight and three, four and two
00:45 at home on the season.
00:47 The Bengals fall to 500, five and five.
00:51 They're just two and three now this season on the road and an interesting stat that Al
00:55 Michaels told us, I was Al Michaels or Kirk Herbst, you don't remember who it was, but
01:00 since 1998, the Bengals have lost 24 of 25 prime time road games.
01:11 The Bengals quarterback at that point, how about former Steelers and Titans great Neil
01:16 O'Donnell?
01:17 I don't remember him playing for the Bengals and I was very football aware back then, but
01:22 it is what it is, but an interesting stat there for you.
01:25 Also interesting stat on the positive side for the bank for the Ravens tonight was Lamar
01:32 Jackson's 53rd regular season win as a starter.
01:37 That is the most ever in the history of the NFL for a quarterback who has yet to turn
01:43 27 years old.
01:45 So Lamar doing great things in Baltimore.
01:49 The Ravens doing great things on the field and you only wonder, man, if not for a slight
01:55 meltdown in the second half last week against Cleveland, how much even better this team
02:01 would be looking.
02:02 You'd be nine and two, but instead you're eight and three and you're beating up everybody.
02:10 I mean you beat up Cleveland the first game.
02:11 They barely got past you in the second game, but this past week you're kind of beating
02:16 up everybody in the AFC North with the exception, of course, of the Steelers who you don't play
02:25 again until the final game of the season.
02:28 And hopefully by then Baltimore will have separated themselves itself from the Steelers
02:35 and hopefully they're nowhere in the playoff picture.
02:38 Ravens now a full three games up on the Bengals in the standings and just a crazy, crazy night.
02:46 Huge injury concerns here for the Ravens with Mark Andrews going down in the first series
02:54 after that hip drop tackle that the league keeps saying they're going to make illegal
02:57 like they did the horse collar, but they haven't yet.
03:00 And we hope nothing more serious is wrong with Andrews and he's able to get back next
03:06 week for the Chargers.
03:10 But more injury concerns.
03:11 Of course, Lamar went out.
03:14 He didn't miss a game, or a series, but he went out on a third down play on the sideline
03:20 where he got kind of tackled awkwardly from behind.
03:23 And really he was limping most of the rest of the game.
03:25 Now he did make some scrambles and he did run effectively, but he just didn't look absolutely
03:33 right.
03:34 He had some issues with his footing too if you watch the game.
03:35 He had some weird slips and slides all over the field.
03:41 But so of course Andrews, Jackson, are concerns.
03:46 And then right at the end of the game on that long 51-yard pass from Jackson to Odell Beckham
03:51 Jr., he was tackled and fell awkwardly on his shoulder that he's already wearing a brace
03:55 on and I believe it's his left shoulder.
04:00 And he got up grimacing and immediately went to the sideline and they took his pads off
04:04 and said, "You're done for the night."
04:07 And was going into the locker room for x-rays.
04:10 Haven't heard yet about that.
04:11 We'll update everybody tomorrow.
04:12 I'm sure Harbaugh will address it in the post-game, but it'll just be a, you know, we're evaluating
04:18 it.
04:19 Probably won't hear anything on it until the weekend or maybe early next week about his
04:24 status for next week.
04:25 But a big win for sure.
04:27 I did have some concerns from in the first, I don't know, quarter, first early part of
04:34 the first half when the Bengals, who by far have the absolute worst rushing offense, literally
04:42 were doing whatever they wanted to against the Ravens.
04:46 And it was a little concerning to watch.
04:50 The Bengals ended up with 136 yards rushing.
04:55 Joe Mixon, 16 carries, 69 yards.
04:58 Browning, substituting for the injured Joe Burrow, who yes, Burrow went out in the game.
05:05 Browning carried four times for 40 yards.
05:07 Those were on scrambles, of course, under tremendous pressure.
05:10 Travion Williams, two carries, 20 yards.
05:13 Burrow had one scramble for seven yards.
05:16 But the Ravens were much more effective on the ground.
05:18 Again, Keaton Mitchell showing you some stuff.
05:21 He had a 21-yard carry on the day.
05:23 Didn't get a lot of touches, just eight carries, 33 yards, like I said, along of 21.
05:27 Gus Edwards, 12 carries, 62 yards, two touchdowns.
05:31 And Jackson carried nine times for 54 yards.
05:35 Two touchdowns on the ground for the Ravens, both from Edwards, 157 yards rushing.
05:40 Odell Beckham Jr., with by far his biggest day as a Raven, four catches on seven targets,
05:47 116 yards.
05:48 Zay Flowers, three catches, 43 yards.
05:51 Nelson Aguilor had a touchdown and his only catch for 37 yards.
05:55 And Rashad Bateman had a touchdown on his only catch for 10 yards.
06:00 264 yards through the year on 16 catches.
06:03 Lamar Jackson goes 16 to 26.
06:05 264 yards in the two touchdowns.
06:07 He was also sacked three times.
06:10 Cincinnati quarterbacks sacked five total times, two for Burrow, three for Browning.
06:14 And man, some of those hits were just vicious on Burrow and Browning.
06:19 So not to bore everybody with stats, I'm getting tired head already a little bit talking about
06:23 it.
06:25 But your AFC North standings look like this, eight and three for the Ravens.
06:29 Pittsburgh is at six and three.
06:31 Cleveland at six and three.
06:32 Cincinnati falls to five and five.
06:35 So big win for the Ravens.
06:36 We'll review some of the John Harbaugh postgame footage and probably get back with you either
06:41 tomorrow or Saturday with an update on injuries, on anything we can get from that.
