Transcript
00:00 Do you have any history with Coach Smith at all?
00:03 I just-- nothing but the utmost respect.
00:05 I mean, just in conversations when we're at meetings together
00:13 and things like that, and understanding what he did here.
00:16 He was a great, great coordinator,
00:18 but that's also translated for him
00:21 to being a great head coach.
00:22 And I know he's passionate about that program
00:24 and brought a lot to it.
00:26 And so he and his staff are doing a really good job.
00:31 It's not just a one-year thing.
00:32 They've built this and grown it, and they're
00:36 looking at a special season this year, too.
00:38 You heard his quote last year, when you guys were both named
00:41 co-coach of the year, and he said
00:42 he would have won that award if he hadn't voted for you.
00:46 You know, that probably--
00:47 I don't know, though, because I could go the other way, too,
00:49 right?
00:50 So--
00:50 [LAUGHTER]
00:53 Scott Huff knows Jonathan Smith as well as anybody.
00:55 How much help is he this week?
00:57 Yeah, I mean, I think all those little things are--
01:01 he's there, and there's a lot of knowledge back and forth
01:03 and familiarity.
01:04 So that all gets discussed and talked about,
01:08 and I'm sure on both sides, us and them.
