00:00 War protests were held across Europe and the Middle East on Saturday. In Jerusalem, protesters
00:06 demanded more action from the government to release around 240 hostages held by Hamas
00:11 in Gaza. Some wanted the war to stop, saying peace was the only solution. In Iran, mass
00:18 protests were organized by the authorities against Israel`s invasion of Gaza. More than
00:23 12,300 Palestinian men, women and children have been killed so far, according to the
00:29 Hamas-run health ministry.
00:31 In Ireland, protesters demanded a ceasefire. Unlike many Western European countries, Ireland`s
00:36 governments have frequently criticized Israel, whilst at the same time supporting Palestinian
00:41 rights. And protests calling for a ceasefire have also been held in many capitals in Europe,
00:47 including in Paris. A protest against anti-Semitism was also held in the city, which was attended
