Singaporean veteran motorcycle racer, Milton Poh, 41, was killed in an accident at Malaysia's Sepang race track, on Sunday 18 May 2014.

Immediately after the start of the second heat for Superbike and Supersport classes on Sunday afternoon, Milton Poh hit the bike of another rider, the Italian Leonardo Sacchetto, 42, who had lost control and veered into his lane. The impact of the accident, which occurred while the riders were picking up speed, flung Poh's bike into the pit wall on the right side.

Both the injured riders were sent to Putrajaya Hospital, where Milton Poh succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards. Sacchetto was treated for leg injuries.

Owing to this tragedy, the race was immediately suspended and subsequently the remainder of the day's events were cancelled.

Milton Poh was riding his personal BMW in the race. A single man, he worked as a Singapore Airlines flight steward and also owned an automotive parts company called Inera. A well-known figure in the Asian Superbike racing scene, he had been racing for about nine years, being a mentor to many young riders of his region. His elder brother, Martin Poh Kim Lim was also competing in the same race.

This was the second fatality within three days, during the Malaysian Super Series (MSS) season-opener at SIC, the acronym for Sepang International Circuit. On Friday, 16 May 2014, a practice accident claimed the life of Amaludin Abd Rahman, a novice Malaysian rider who competed in the Super Stock B class race.
