00:11 Usually, we pick one of these teams that we think can do it,
00:15 and then it's like, oh, by the middle of the season,
00:16 that was a terrible pick.
00:18 The Lion story is incredible on so many different levels.
00:22 Dan Campbell-- I was covering the Dolphins, Carver,
00:25 when Dan Campbell was the interim head coach
00:28 there for a while.
00:29 This Lions team resembles nothing like that,
00:31 nothing at all.
00:32 And I know in the end--
00:34 we have to keep in mind--
00:35 Campbell's going to make the final decision on what to do,
00:39 like two weeks ago when he went on fourth down,
00:40 like how many times?
00:41 Like six times?
00:42 Like he's going to make that call.
00:45 But what I find the most fascinating
00:48 is I think, based on what I've seen in the NFL this season
00:52 and the lack of scoring around the league on so many--
00:54 15 teams that can't score two touchdowns a game.
00:57 I think this offensive coordinator, Carver,
01:00 of the Giants, Ben Johnson, I think
01:02 he's going to be the highest paid brand new head
01:05 coach from coordinator next year in the history of the NFL.
01:08 It is unbelievable what they've been
01:10 able to do with this offense with Jared Goff,
01:12 Amon Ras, St. Brown.
01:13 Don't get me wrong, these are good players.
01:15 But like, anybody could have had these guys at any point
01:17 over the course of their career.
01:19 So to me, whether it's the Chargers' job next year
01:22 or, I mean, Carolina, I don't know.
01:24 But I think that is the number one guy
01:27 that I would want to hire and bring in as a head coach.
01:30 Because immediately, your fan base
01:32 is going to say, wow, we're going to score points.
01:35 Because it's going to go to a team that's not scoring,
01:37 let's be honest.
01:37 There's so many of them this year in the NFL.
01:39 So that's my big takeaway from that.
01:40 I think Detroit obviously has a shot
01:42 to win 11, 12 games this season.
01:45 But I think more so they have a shot
01:47 to win a playoff game, which would really be incredible.
01:49 Yeah, and it helps when you get those games in your building.
01:52 Which is, if you keep winning, you're
01:54 going to get a couple of those.
01:56 And look, could they beat the Niners in the playoffs?
01:58 I mean, probably not.
02:00 But I'd give them a better chance at home
02:03 than I would if they had to go out to Santa Clara
02:05 and play them.
02:06 So I think it makes a big difference.
02:07 And I agree with you 100%.
02:09 Johnson will be, if not the highest, one of the top two
02:13 or three names that is going to be out there
02:16 once the carousel starts in early January.
