00:09 You know, Raffy, LTFRB said that they are ready to adjust to the requests of Grupong Piston

00:19 so that the three-day transport strike that they have been asked to stop can be stopped.

00:24 So, the three doables, according to Celine Pialago, she is the spokesperson of LTFRB,

00:30 the first one is to waive the penalties, which they call confirmation fees.

00:35 This is what Jeepney operators pay to LTFRB before their vehicles can register in LTO.

01:07 According to LTFRB, the non-negotiable is the creation of a cooperative.

01:13 It is a basic requirement in modernization.

01:17 But the process is simplified.

01:19 As long as they file before the deadline of December 31.

01:23 According to Pialago, there is no pressure to modernize the Jeep when 2024 comes.

01:29 These can still be passed as long as they pass the road worthiness test of LTO.

01:34 It can be done even without a weak modernization petition.

01:38 But this is while the number of Jeeps in a route is not yet complete.

01:42 Only 50 Jeeps in a route.

01:46 Pistons and LTFRB will discuss this later in the afternoon to revisit the franchising guidelines.

01:51 LTFRB will just give an update.

01:54 According to Pialago, they want to pass the Pistons

01:57 because this is the only remaining large transport group that does not join the modernization.

02:02 So, if the compliance is at 60%,

02:06 the compliance will reach 75% to 80% if they pass the Pistons that joined the modernization.

02:14 So, the requests of the Pistons and LTFRB are not yet finalized.

02:21 The group of Manibela will be reunited on the 3-day stop-pass starting tomorrow.

02:27 According to Marvel Buena, 400 routes in Metro Manila are affected

02:31 and 150,000 vehicles will be affected.
