00:00 Indonesia has launched an investment plan to mobilize 20 billion dollars in financing
00:05 from global lenders to accelerate its power sector decarbonization. The country aims to
00:10 cut carbon dioxide emissions on its on-grid power sector to 250 million metric tons by 2030,
00:19 compared to estimated business-as-usual emissions of over 350 million. The investment proposal,
00:25 known as the Comprehensive Investment and Policy Plan, was officially announced after a public
00:30 consultation period. Indonesia plans to increase a portion of renewable energy in its power
00:36 generation to 44 percent by year 2030.
