00:00 >> Well, going into this game, what's the feeling like?
00:02 Is it at all different than last year?
00:04 >> No, it's another game.
00:07 It's gonna be really exciting.
00:08 I mean, it's a Civil War, so it's a great game.
00:10 It's our rival.
00:11 So we're just excited because we gotta go one and 0 this week.
00:14 >> What stood out to you about this series throughout your career?
00:20 >> It's never been easy.
00:21 2018, that was a crazy game.
00:23 I remember at that time, they were talking about the big raincoats.
00:26 Oh, we're gonna be taking off the raincoats.
00:28 And I remember it literally hit the fourth quarter and it just started pouring.
00:31 But we used that to our advantage.
00:33 We were able to come out with the W that game.
00:35 2019, I remember it was another big battle.
00:38 2020, we went back over there, we lost, and it was rough.
00:41 2021, it was a really rowdy game.
00:43 That was a close one, but we came out on top.
00:46 Last year, we went over there, and you know what happened.
00:48 So it's never been an easy one.
00:50 It's always been one of the toughest games of the year, so
00:52 I'm always excited to play them.
00:53 >> One of the last couple of guys from that 18 class,
00:57 seniors will be out on Saturday with the private team.
01:01 What does being one of the last ones mean to you?
01:04 And what does, guys talk about changing culture.
01:06 Your class was part of that.
01:09 You guys, especially you and Benet on the line, but you guys were a big part of that.
01:13 Like you're talking about with raincoats for 17 months.
01:16 What does that mean to you?
01:18 >> I mean, everyone just reminds me of how old I am by saying that.
01:23 Today, we were going out to practice and one of the freshmen were like,
01:25 you got here 2018?
01:27 I'm like, why is that so shocking?
01:28 And they're like, I was in middle school when you got here.
01:30 So I don't know, people just remind me that I'm old.
01:32 But like you said, with culture changes,
01:34 you try to hold on to the best attributes of the previous culture.
01:37 So I feel like it's been my duty to hold the standard that we've always had here at
01:41 the University of Oregon, not just the coaching staff.
01:44 So that's just been my biggest job.
01:46 And stepping up to be a leader, as they tell me, I'm the oldest.
01:50 So people are gonna look to their elders.
01:51 So I just try to be a leader of the young guys and
01:54 try to do the right thing all the time.
01:56 >> What's it feel like after that block against Kyle?
01:59 >> Yeah, that was a fun one.
02:00 I was just doing my job and it turned out how it turned out.
02:05 So that was exciting.
02:06 You try to replicate that every single game, so I just try my best.
