00:39 when she returned to the country last night from Lebanon.

00:42 Maria Teresita worked in Lebanon for 17 years as a domestic helper.

00:48 But because of the rising tensions there, she decided to go home to the Philippines.

00:54 Maria Teresita is the only one of eight overseas Filipino workers

00:59 who were evacuated from Lebanon and arrived at IA Terminal 3 last night.

01:04 This is the last batch of Filipinos returning to the country from Lebanon

01:08 because of the increasing chaos there.

01:12 I was scared. I didn't know that it would explode.

01:16 I was nervous because my father and children were waiting for me.

01:20 They were forcing me to go home but there was no way to go home.

01:23 That's why I asked for help from the government.

01:26 Officials from the Department of Migrant Workers or DMW

01:31 and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration of OWA

01:34 met the returning OFWs.

01:36 According to the Department of Migrant Workers,

01:38 the remaining OFWs are in the process of returning to the Philippines.

01:44 Most of them are household workers.

01:47 We are still on alert level 2 in Israel.

01:51 Which means there are no volunteers yet.

01:53 But at the same time, there are people who want to go home.

01:56 They are in a hurry.

01:58 At the same time, the Finnish contract is open.
