Britain’s newly crowned ‘wonkiest pub’ has sold at auction for more than £170,000 – three months after the Crooked House fire.

The Tilted Barrel in Tipton, West Mids., took the title from its demolished counterpart just five miles away after it burnt down in a suspected arson attack in August. Via SWNS.

00:00 Hello, my name's Karl Falconer, I'm a local plasterer from the area of Tipton.
00:13 Been using this place now for close on 40 years I'd say.
00:19 Lots of changes I've seen happen all the time in here.
00:23 New owners, it's a good atmosphere, good vibe, really nice place and very sociable place.
00:29 So this is how the ball works in a tilted barrel.
00:44 I've probably been coming here 40 years now and maybe the last 80 years it's resided,
00:50 probably due to mine shafts, I don't know.
00:52 It's way before my time.
00:54 But it's still standing, it's still going and we aim to keep it that way.
00:59 The crooked house, it's very sad what's happened, it's part of the heritage and part of our
01:06 theme in the black country.
01:08 It's been like that for a good many years, it's very, very sad what's happened.
