00:00 So this is really all our little Christmas ad and it's all about what we do here in the North West.
00:07 We are getting items that are surplus to requirements of businesses and we're distributing
00:17 them to the people that really really need it. It's simple but it's absolutely is the right thing to do.
00:26 One of the things that we provide is toilet roll. A family that was being supported were using public
00:33 toilets because they were struggling so much to afford. You know those basic things that we just
00:38 take for granted. There are children that are going to nursery and they're going to care providers and
00:43 they've got the same nappy on from the night before and it's not an issue of neglect it's
00:48 simply an issue of parents not having enough money in their pocket. So you know we're working with
00:53 lots of different companies to see how they can help. One of the things that we're hearing is that
00:59 teenagers aren't having the hygiene products that they need so they might be unable to afford
01:05 deodorant. Being a teenager is hard enough as it is there's so much pressure. The things that we do
01:11 could just be that little bit of respite for somebody to be able to get back on their feet
01:14 it gives them breathing space. This is a project that needs support into next year and ongoing
01:23 and because it's such a lifeline. What worries me the most is what is the demand going to be like
01:30 next year. This isn't just about Christmas for people it's how do we get people through December
01:35 but how do we get people through to January and beyond. I feel a responsibility to make sure we
01:41 can do whatever we can to help as many people as we can. It is so so tough and there's not that
01:52 don't worry you can't put me crying on here. Yeah I do take it home because I just want to see
02:00 children thrive.
