Grace Bolsover, the longest-trading Sheffield market stall owner, on why she still loves her career and Moor Market at 81 years old
Transcript
00:00 - Hello, I'm Grace Bobzolder.
00:02 I've got the fabric shop in the Mall Market.
00:05 I've actually been doing this 34 years
00:08 and it still feels like new to me.
00:10 I love it.
00:11 My latest friend was a miner
00:13 and he got married a young woman.
00:16 And he'd always say he was setting up a business,
00:19 which he did.
00:20 And I had a cousin in Leeds,
00:22 who had a little fabric warehouse at that time.
00:25 And he always told me he would call.
00:27 In them days, I hated fabric.
00:31 When my sisters used to go to fabric shops,
00:33 I used to want to scream.
00:36 But I went this day to have a look at their shop
00:39 in Leeds Market.
00:41 And I thought, "What a life I'm gonna live with it."
00:46 And I had 16 happy days at Christophe's.
00:51 Then I moved to Castle Market.
00:54 And then we've been here, as you know,
00:57 celebrating our 10 years.
00:59 So all in all, I've been doing it 34 years.
01:03 Absolutely love doing it.
01:05 At the moment, we've got fantastic Christmas fabrics in.
01:09 Be amazed if you come down and have a look.
