00:00 I just play Eagles in more than a week.
00:02 The Eagles have a game this weekend.
00:04 They got to go through Buffalo.
00:05 Is that correct?
00:06 Buffalo Sunday at home.
00:07 Okay.
00:08 So they got to play Buffalo.
00:09 Who's going to get hurt by the way?
00:11 Very bizarre spread.
00:12 They could lose that game.
00:14 And then they got to host the Niners.
00:15 This is the Niners Superbowl for the Superbowl.
00:18 How do you guys see this one going down when the schedule came out?
00:21 I picked the Eagles to win this game, but now we're here.
00:24 What do you see?
00:25 Well, it's going to be a tough game.
00:27 You know, this just in, I mean, to me, it's.
00:30 Can Feliciano and McKivitt stand up to Hassan Redick and Fletcher Cox,
00:35 because that's, that's a big part of it.
00:37 And can the Niners do a good enough job on defense to keep
00:41 the Eagles out of third and three?
00:42 The Eagles at third and three are in four down territory, unless
00:46 they're inside their 20 and it's hard to stop them from making
00:50 three yards on two downs.
00:52 So you got to win on first and second down against them.
00:56 They won't have Goddard.
00:57 Um, but the Niners are also are peaking on D you know, and, and let's be honest,
01:03 this Eagles offensive line is really beaten down the 49ers.
01:07 Well, the Niner D line got Hargrave and now is comes in playing good balls.
01:12 So, uh, we're going to find out, but to me, it's all about first and second down.
01:17 And then you got to keep them out of third and three.
01:20 And then if they get to short yardage, here comes the push push between Kelsey
01:25 and Dickerson on that in the a gap right there on the left side of the line.
01:28 And can the Niners stop it?
01:30 Uh, but I, I that's it's a line of scrimmage game and it's also a big turnover game.
01:36 And I think the other wrinkle I'm really eager to see in this game, the Eagles did
01:40 not react at all to Kyle Shanahan's play action game.
01:44 The play action game is a central part of Kyle's game.
01:47 So you know what the teams that I've seen beat the Eagles don't mess
01:51 around with the play action game.
01:53 They go with the short passing game and the ball gets out quick.
01:55 So I don't know if I'm Kyle, if I want to run a lot of play action fakes
02:00 because the son Redick is just, you're just giving him an extra
02:03 second to get to the quarterback.
02:04 No, I think he's not honoring the block him with Charlie Warner.
02:06 Do with your backup tight end.
02:07 It's a great idea.
02:08 It's a perfectly sound football.
02:10 Hey, Charlie Warner's at least blocking the don't do it with Tyler
02:13 Croft I think is the answer.
02:15 Do it.
02:16 Ross Dwelle.
02:17 Yeah.
02:18 Coach, what's he like?
02:19 What do you see in this matchup?
02:20 Um, I'm looking for the Niners to win.
02:23 This is, I mean, I think this is one a versus one B.
02:25 Uh, let's be real, man.
02:28 We're, we're, we're this deep into the season, right about now.
02:31 The only teams that are really going to give the Niners, um, true
02:35 issues when they're playing hard.
02:36 Right.
02:37 When we, when, when Niners are showing up to play and have effort.
02:40 All right.
02:41 You're going to have to play against a team that can match up against our guys
02:45 and make us play matchup football, where really it's going to be up to, um, the
02:51 players on the field because you can't scheme open certain things.
02:54 Uh, I feel like the Eagles are the team that can match up with all of our
02:57 weapons across the board, defensively, um, offensively, uh, on the line.
03:03 Um, they're better than us.
03:05 Let's just face it.
03:06 We're going to have to really see what we're going to do on offense against
03:09 that front against that Eagles front.
03:11 Now that Eagles offensive line versus our front.
03:14 I'm looking for us to actually kind of be better than them.
03:16 And I, and I felt that way last year, but they were able to really
03:20 hunker down and just run the ball against us.
03:23 And we really didn't get them any and any favorable situations because of what
03:27 happened to Brock so early in the game.
03:28 But I do believe that our, our defensive line is a little bit more
03:33 athletic than their offensive line.
03:36 They don't have to be as big as them.
03:37 If you can run them, if you can outrun them and you're just as strong and
03:41 dynamic, you don't have to be as big as an offensive line.
03:43 And that's the thing I do believe that, that the Eagles, they had, they may have
03:48 tilted a little too heavy on size and physicality where we can be able to use
03:53 that against our advantage, because we're definitely fast in a quick defensive line.
03:57 Now we also have depth.
03:59 I'm looking for, I'm looking for, uh, um, Jalen hurts to be pressured because
04:04 that's when you start to see the mediocrity out of Jalen hurts is when he's under
04:08 pressure, he turns into a completely different quarterback when you're able
04:11 to, when you're able to affect him, especially get him out of the pocket.
04:14 So for us, I'd like to see what we started seeing in the last couple of
04:20 games, coach Wilk starting to mix up a lot of pressures, dropping D lineman
04:24 out of a gaps, bringing up, bringing up corners.
04:27 Another adjustment that I love that coach Wilk's has made is moving
04:31 every Thomas to the outside and bringing in the Amador Lenore at the nickel spot.
04:35 That's going to be huge for us just for simple fact that yes, the Amador Lenore
04:39 is clearly a bigger in a physical corner, um, than Ambry, but also he's, he's kind
04:46 of the sweet spot and what Isaiah Oliver didn't give us, it's not the fact that
04:50 Isaiah Oliver was not, was missing so many tackles, but now that you see
04:56 Diamond or Lenore at that nickel spot, you start to see at how many tackles Isaiah
05:00 Oliver wasn't even flat out attempting, right.
05:03 Just because of his lack of athleticism at the position.
05:07 I feel like that is what has sped us up on the defense, speeding us up internally.
05:11 So that's going to be something that I really see that we're going to be able
05:15 to take advantage of Philly to have that interior speed at the nickel position.
05:18 One thing I'm looking at with this from the last matchup, Niners did a good job
05:24 against Jalen hurts in the last matchup.
05:25 What they didn't do a good job of was stopping the run.
05:28 They give up 148 yards on the ground and four touchdowns for rushing touchdowns.
05:34 And that was when they had miles Sanders, who's not good.
05:37 Now they have Deandre Swift who is good.
05:40 And the Niners have had some issues stopping the run this year.
05:43 They had no issue this yesterday because Zach Charbonnet, God love you.
05:47 UCLA.
05:47 He's not explosive.
05:48 They should have been using DJ Dallas.
05:51 They gave him two carries and I was like, Oh, okay, there's your running back.
05:54 And then they didn't go back to him.
05:55 I don't know.
05:56 I think this is going to be a real test of the Niners run defense, which has been.
06:00 Shaky.
06:01 Like they shut down Travis ETN.
06:03 They shut down Rashad white and they shut down Zach Charbonnet.
06:06 Okay.
06:07 Like cool.
06:08 But you've had some bad games and now you got to shut down like a re a team that
06:13 really, really, really runs the ball.
06:15 That's true.
06:16 I want to say like the offensive line blew you off the ball.
06:18 You remember those clips last year?
06:20 I'm not going to mention who is it getting just moved out of the frame, but you
06:24 remember that stuff.
06:25 And so, so the Niners have a lot to prove.
06:28 And frankly, from the, the mashup last year, wasn't about the running backs.
06:30 It was about the offensive line, man, handling the Niners defensive line.
06:33 Yeah, I agree with that.
06:35 They're coming after hard.
06:36 They know hard grape.
06:37 They're coming after hard.
06:38 It's Siriani field and they do feel, they feel like we're imposters.
06:42 They feel like they are the true physical team in the league.
06:44 Is that true?
06:45 Uh, they get it done, um, in a better way than we do.
06:48 So, you know, I, I really want to see Kyle out coach this guy.
06:52 I mean, if there's anybody, I mean, I, I used to think that Kyle smugness got on my
06:57 nerves, but this guy, this guy, bro, like trash wearing a visor, bro.
07:05 I thought that Kyle was an issue.
07:07 Like character wise.
07:09 Like, I'm like, God, this guy, he's not my cup of tea.
07:11 Kyle is like Gandhi compared to their guy.
07:15 Like looking into the camera.
07:18 Did you see him after the chiefs game?
07:19 Yelling at the fans.
07:20 Yes.
07:21 I don't understand that kind of behavior, man.
07:23 But it was like yelling at the fans, but he was in the tunnel.
07:27 So it was like, he wasn't really yelling at the fans.
07:29 He was just doing it for the camera again.
07:31 Again.
07:32 So I don't get this dude.
07:34 Man, like he's very smug.
07:38 He's very smug.
07:39 And, and, and if you asked me, he plays well in Philly though.
07:43 Oh, they love him.
07:43 You know, supposedly he listens to a no easy way out from Rocky four.
07:48 I love that song.
07:49 No shortcut home.
07:53 You know, so easy way.
07:55 I have no short heroes.
08:01 So he's like their Rocky coach.
08:05 Okay.
08:05 So is anyone picking that you're picking the Niners to win?
08:08 Are you picking the Niners to win?
08:11 I picked the Niners to win early in the year.
08:12 I, a lot of people pointed to this stretch as the hard stretch.
08:16 And I just, I wasn't buying it.
08:18 I think they own Seattle and I think they're the Niners are going to fire.
08:22 The Niners don't win.
08:23 Don't lose.
08:24 Typically when they fire, they lose when they don't fire, they're
08:27 going to fire in this game.
08:29 I really do.
08:30 But the question is this, who's more, who's more fired up for this game?
08:34 Because the Niners will, the Niners have circled it, but the Eagles
08:40 also in their fans feel like the Niners disrespected them by saying
08:45 that they would have won and sold them the way that's the true.
08:49 That's true.
08:49 Right.
08:49 So they feel like they feel like they just beat the chiefs.
08:53 Like that's their game.
08:54 Cause they, that's the, the, the team they have the biggest rivalry with.
08:58 They, but they, but we, what we have something in common, Iggy is that
09:02 we both lost to the chiefs, right?
09:05 So really the chiefs can look at both of us, like whatever guys
09:08 handle it and didn't get back to us.
09:10 The real game between them is, is that even though they beat us, what
09:17 annoys them is that they even know that they didn't get the best of us.
09:20 They even know it.
09:22 So in a way they're trying to say, no, no, no, bring them back, bring them
09:26 back and we want Brock to be here.
09:27 Bring them back.
09:28 Credit though.
09:28 And this one more thing I want to mention about this match before we move on.
09:31 It wasn't just that the Eagles ran at will in the Niners.
09:34 It's that they got like pressure.
09:36 I think 60% of the Niners drop backs.
09:38 So yeah, they knocked out Brock Purdy and maybe that was a fluky injury, but
09:41 then they knocked out Josh Johnson too.
09:44 And I don't think that you necessarily, it's hard to win a game when you're under
09:48 pressure, 60% of the time you drop back.
09:50 So I want to see if the Niners can fix that.
09:52 And you mentioned it earlier.
09:54 Stop with the play action approach.
09:56 It's not going to work in this game.
09:57 You got to have a quick passing game.
09:59 And I think the Niners do.
10:00 So I think the Niner defense is peaking at the right time too.
10:04 Um, so I think that's going to be key.
10:07 I can't wait to see this game because you know, the other thing I think is really
10:11 vital, I don't know how you guys feel about this, but I think it's,
10:14 I think the 49ers have some doubt.
10:16 Whether they can go into Philly in the cold weather in, you know, with the
10:21 playoffs on the line and win that game and whether the Niners win this game or
10:25 not, a return trip to Philly in the playoffs is likely.
10:29 So, um, I think the Niners need this emotionally and mentally just to know in
10:35 their, in their mind that, you know what, if they get into that game, they can win
10:39 that game.
10:40 Um, I think there's some doubt until you actually do it.
10:43 I think there's some doubt whether you can or can't, I think they would be, what
10:47 would make this season unbelievably interesting is if the Niners went in
10:51 there and routed, that would make this very interesting because then, you know,
10:57 the Eagle still probably could wind up with a home field advantage and the Niners
11:01 would have to roll back in there.
11:02 And to me, if the Eagles route in this game, the rematch is like, it almost feels
11:08 like a coronation for the Eagles, but if the Niners win the game or when it
11:12 convincingly, man, we're setting up one of the highest rated TV playoff games
11:17 in NFL history, uh, in the, what I'm expecting is a close game, which is nice
11:21 because the Niners haven't been in many of those and the ones that they have
11:23 been in, they've lost.
11:24 So this feels like the real test for the Niners.
11:26 They could, should, I don't know what, where do you want to use could win,
11:30 should win, but it'll be maybe a different type of win for them coming
11:33 from behind winning late.
11:34 That'll be interesting.
11:36 If they win this game, it's going to feel like a big statement for them.
11:39 No doubt.
11:40 I'll know if it's the same statement for the Eagles.
11:42 Are they mature?
11:43 Are they mature enough for the win?
11:46 Right.
11:47 Because in so many ways, this is, this is the bad side about not getting closure
11:51 because we didn't, because it seems as though we didn't have the closure off
11:55 of how we lost the Philly is could we kill ourselves by winning this game and
12:00 then having an emotional letdown because essentially we just are super bowl.
12:05 Yes.
12:06 Right.
12:06 Absolutely.
12:07 Because it reminds me of the 95 coach.
12:09 It reminds me of 95 Niners Cowboys Niners beat the Cowboys in Dallas with
12:15 Gerbeck, um, and that Dallas team then circled the wagons and one went on
12:20 and won the super bowl with a Switzer.
12:22 Yeah.
12:23 And you lose Elvis Gerbeck.
12:24 That's tough.
12:24 So that's my thing.
12:26 It's like, even, even when we win this one, like, are we going to still
12:30 have the fire enough to say, okay, now we're not, we're not done now.
12:34 Now we got to go finish.
12:35 Right.
12:36 Because that's really, this is the real, this is the real perfect issue for us
12:41 is that now we really have to finish because if we beat the Eagles now, it's
12:45 going to be like, all right, well, you can't lose to him again.
12:48 You gotta beat him.
12:49 Now there's no, there's, there's, it's really super bowler bus now.
