Analyzing how Jon Feliciano has improved the San Francisco 49ers offensive line.

00:00 There's a new look secondary. There's also a new look offensive line
00:02 John Feliciano was on the bench the first half of the year that Aaron Banks went down
00:05 Feliciano played left guard played well and Burford went down Feliciano played right guard and to me
00:11 I mean, I haven't watched the all 22 yet, but it seemed like
00:14 An offense that had been extremely left-handed in the run game suddenly could run to the right
00:20 I remember a bunch of runs that went to the right successfully in that last game and I feel like Feliciano is having an impact
00:27 The run first team. He seems like a good run blocker. What do you think about John Feliciano in this line?
00:32 I mean, you know, he doesn't necessarily look great in the uni
00:35 You know, it's like, you know the guy the guy's kind of this and that he's older and he's but I'll tell you he's effective
00:41 and he's smart and he's not afraid and
00:44 Not that Burford is
00:46 Not the Burford's any not those things. I think Burford's really smart. I think Burford's a good prospect. The Burford is young
00:53 He's very young. It's a and yes is a veteran. This guy's done a played a lot of football now
00:59 ProFootball focus did not give Feliciano particularly high grade here the guy that really stood out to me yesterday was banks
01:07 I just think that banks off of a couple weeks of inactivity looks
01:11 fresher and more
01:14 Explosive and I just I loved what I saw from banks. I know he also got a really low pro football focus grade
01:21 But he just his body just looks rejuvenated and that left side of the Niner offensive line did not allow very many pressures
01:28 I think three combined I think like the other the right side allowed a lot more with with McKivitt's and Feliciano
01:35 But I think left to right grant Feliciano at right guard is problem if they go Williams banks Brendel Feliciano McKivitt's
01:43 That's probably their best foot forward on the old line
01:46 Yeah, this seems like the last frontier for this 49ers team
01:50 I mean everything else is a strength at this point. The defense was shaky now
01:54 It's not the defensive line the pass rush to run defense the coverage. It's all good
01:57 The offense is healthy. The quarterbacks playing really high level. All the weapons are good
02:03 It's just really the offensive line, which hasn't been a weakness, but it's not you wouldn't call it a strength beyond the left tackle
02:10 But last couple of weeks it has sort of been a strength
02:13 They only give up one sack in his last game if John Feliciano can improve it because I do
02:19 I'd like to see him stay on the field. I think he's better than Burford. No, just he's more dependable
02:24 He's more dependable than Burford a lot of football minute, you know in inside you you know your
02:29 Your technique. I mean the one thing about Burford it just too many
02:33 Penalties too many penalties and if you really want to say what was the primary issue?
02:39 With the Niners during that three-game losing streak. It's not sexy
02:43 And so we didn't you know, a lot of people don't gravitate towards it, but it's off mostly
02:48 offensive line penalties on
02:50 First and second down that have gotten them behind the sticks and put a lot more pressure on purdy
02:56 To keep the team on the field. I think that's really been the problem. I think that's you know, just they've made mistakes and
03:03 You know, they they get to second and 815 or something like that
03:08 And then all of a sudden it's it's hard to convert those four into first downs
