00:05 >> Antonio, couldn't ask for a better start, getting up 14 to nothing.
00:09 What's the collective kind of message or learning lesson in terms of holding on
00:13 to that momentum and not giving it back and put your foot on somebody's throat?
00:18 Squeezing it out, winning the game.
00:20 >> Yeah, you're squeezing all we can.
00:21 I mean, obviously 14 nothing is what you want.
00:23 That's a great start.
00:24 But you knew at some point world champs, Patrick and
00:27 those guys started making plays they did, had a good drive there.
00:30 Okay, now you're going offense and obviously it's a collective group thing,
00:34 right, it's not just a defense, it's offense, special teams.
00:37 And I think as the game went on, from four quarters, they became a better team.
00:42 We had a quarter here or there, and as the game go on,
00:45 there's a reason why Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in football and
00:48 Kelsey's there.
00:49 But we gotta do a better job of stopping those two players.
00:51 Two players, and then we got opportunities on offense, and
00:54 we can make some plays, and we can make them again.
00:56 So comes down to execution, and we gotta keep working on that.

01:04 >> Antonio, when you're in a situation where you may be going against, let's say,
01:08 a better team, how important is it for the offense to remain that aggression and
01:11 then take chances when you have those situations to stay on top of them?
01:15 >> It is, and that was our plan.
01:16 And there was opportunities there, and again, you look at the tape, and
01:19 I'm sure you guys saw it, there were plays there.
01:21 There were guys open, and we gotta connect, and we gotta make them.
01:24 No different than we did in the run game in the first quarter.
01:26 So, all offense do that, we had a point spread that we felt like we needed to get
01:32 to early in the first half, and you really take care of the ball right before
01:36 the two-minute situation, knowing you're gonna get the ball in the third quarter.
01:42 You'd like to see us get more points there, and
01:44 you just can't let a team like this even be close.
01:47 And it's difficult when you have moments like that in the game where we're missing
01:50 opportunities.
01:51 >> Hey Pete, back in the first half, excuse me, right here.
01:54 Back in the first half when you decided to take the field goal,
01:57 obviously anyone would have thought that was automatic with Daniel.
01:59 I'm not questioning Daniel's mess.
02:01 Can you talk about, you had momentum, why you didn't,
02:04 what was your thought process to go for the field goal and not go for it on 4th and 1?
02:08 >> Yeah, I mean, you learn each and every week the things you would have done
02:10 different.
02:10 We were moving the ball, we were doing good, and listen,
02:14 defense just had two great stops.
02:17 Just go ahead and get up 10-0.
02:18 And we missed it.
02:22 And I'm not gonna second guess myself.
02:23 We went into the game with a certain mindset that we got an opportunity to put
02:27 up points, let's put on points.
02:28 Let's not make that decision that we made the week before.
02:30 Each week is different, and this week is about putting points on the board.
02:33 >> Antonio, you mentioned about the other defending Super Bowl champs.
02:38 You're going, you know what they're bringing, right?
02:41 When you're coaching against in your first games against the Giants and
02:44 the Jets, and you have that confidence,
02:46 does it start to get in your head a little bit as a new coach?
02:49 Do you start thinking, maybe overthinking, these are the champs, and
02:54 in that moment, or did you have the same thought process against the Giants,
02:58 against the Jets, against the Dolphs, against the Chiefs?
03:00 >> No, I think every game has a different process and way to win.
03:05 This one, we didn't blink.
03:06 I mean, I don't think you just jump up 4-2-0 if you weren't gonna be aggressive and
03:09 feel that way.
03:10 I think we knew early on we could run the ball with Josh.
03:13 We did that.
03:14 We knew we had a great opportunity there with Tay on the outside, and
03:17 we took advantage of that.
03:18 And then at a point, every game is gonna come to a point where our offense stales.
03:22 And then, all right, how do you rebound from that?
03:23 And what we're struggling with right now is just rebounding from those dry moments.
03:28 And you see them, it's very evident in the game, either negative play on the second
03:32 down, or on the third down, we have a concept, or a play that we like, and
03:37 we're not hitting it.
03:38 >> Antonio, I know Marcus got pulled out of the game, and
03:42 there were some things going on on the sidelines.
03:44 Can you just talk about that?
03:45 Was there an injury, or
03:45 was it just a coach's decision to take him out of the game?
03:48 >> It was a coach's decision.
03:49 >> The last set, fourth and one to Jacobs.
03:54 What did you see in that play?
03:54 Was there a breakdown on that fourth and one?
03:56 >> Yeah, really poor execution, poor alignment, didn't give ourselves a chance.
04:01 The play was over before we snapped it.
04:02 >> AP, I'd like to ask you about Max.
04:07 Up from the, this is me saying this, I'm not trying to get you in any trouble, but
04:11 there were multiple times where Max is getting tackled, and
04:14 you can see it up in the press.
04:16 I'm curious, at some point, do you go to the ref?
04:19 How does that work, or do you have to just quietly handle that and
04:22 can't talk about it?
04:23 >> Yeah, I mean, we talked about it before the game with the officials.
04:26 We talked about it throughout the game.
04:27 And just be a professional.
04:30 Respect their view, their opinion.
04:32 Be honest about if I agree with it or not.
04:33 I mean, I voiced my opinion and displeasure on several times, but
04:37 they got a job, they got a very difficult job to do.
04:39 And everybody watching it just let me do it.
04:42 They'll give a review, just let me have a review of it.
04:44 >> They had a lot of success on the crossing ground.
04:46 Some of them took your cap, or some of them were disappointed in your defense?
04:49 >> Yeah, disappointed.
04:50 I mean, we knew it was coming.
04:51 A lot of speed on the field.
04:53 Opportunities there for us, just get the guy down, give us another chance.
04:56 And we didn't do that.
04:58 And that's a little bit of anticipation.
05:00 Increasing that awareness by formations, which I thought we did a good job of
05:03 awareness, working on that throughout the week.
05:05 And then in the game again, what we talked about this week was execution.
05:09 In critical moments, especially late in the second half,
05:11 we didn't actually get a high level.
05:12 >> Coach came on the scene with two wins against the New York teams,
05:16 stepped up in class to do much better.
05:18 So I'm wondering, what kind of impact has the losses had on you?
05:23 And this is really kind of first case of adversity now, losing back to back.
05:28 What kind of adjustments will you be making personally in terms of how you
05:32 approach coaching job?
05:33 >> Yeah, I mean, it don't matter if I start off 0 and 2, and then 1 last 2.
05:36 Each and every week is gonna be a challenge.
05:38 Obviously, the last two teams were very dynamic, explosive.
05:43 I'm talking about world champs here.
05:44 My team has been dominating, good quarterback, good coach.
05:47 Well coached team.
05:48 What lessons do I take from it?
05:51 Don't take anything for granted.
05:52 Don't take the wins for granted.
05:54 Don't take the losses, we treat them the same way.
05:56 I'll learn, obviously AP's gonna get better.
05:59 Both will get better, A's gonna get better.
06:01 Matt's, Patrick Brown, we all gotta get better, man.
06:03 That's, at the end of the day, whenever this is over with, and how it ends, and
06:07 the season's over, we'll look back and say, okay,
06:09 these are things we gotta work on going forward.
06:11 And I think for me personally,
06:13 just sitting back looking at how the game is managed, is it the ideas is right,
06:17 is what we're practicing, showing up on the game field, and
06:20 then that's my job to get that better.
06:22 >> Antonio, late bye for you guys.

06:28 what is your focus going to be in this bye week?
06:31 >> Stay healthy, get fresh.
06:32 We got two home games coming up.
06:33 We talked about that as a team, as a staff.
06:36 It was a great opportunity for us, three straight home games.
06:38 I was just gonna go like we wanted to, but we got the Vikings coming up.
06:42 But first and foremost, I told our guys to get themselves right.
06:45 Get healthy, get fresh.
06:46 12 weeks is a long time to go without a bye.
06:49 And these guys have really battled through it,
06:51 fight through injuries you saw what Max went through this week.
06:53 And the will to wanna play, these guys are not quitting.
06:56 There's no quitting this team, and they won't be quitting next week.
06:58 They're going to survive, become fresh, we'll get back to work on Monday.

07:09 is there any worry that maybe he aggravated his injury?

07:19 At some point, you gotta be realistic, how the game's going.
07:22 Take care of your best players, no different than what we do with Max.
07:24 And then Marcus Peters is just a culture decision.
