00:00 Hello! How you doing? I'm Gary McNair. I'm the writer and performer of Dear Billy,
00:04 a love letter to the Big Yen from the people of Scotland, our wee show about Billy Connolly.
00:10 We had such a wonderful time making this show, collecting people's stories about Billy Connolly
00:16 and fusing them together into this show for you. And it was an honour, a real pleasure to take it
00:21 out on the road to packed houses up and down the country. It was a genuine thrill of a lifetime.
00:28 The problem is with thrills of a lifetime, they, well, they stop, don't they? They come to an end.
00:33 But the thing is, you lot, you punters, you were like, "Oh, National Theatre Scotland,
00:37 how come I cannae see this Dear Billy show anymore? I heard it was marvellous, I missed it,
00:41 it was sold out. What are you going to do about it? What are ye going to do about it?" The thing
00:46 is, they listen and they're doing this about it. It's back! And that's why I'm sat here on this
00:51 big banana, which you may recognise from the show. I'm so thrilled that we're back. We're going to
00:57 the Pavilion in Glasgow, we're going to HMT in Aberdeen, we're going to Eden Court in Inverness,
01:03 and we're going to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and probably a few others sprinkled around there.
01:07 So do look out for announcements and information. I can't wait to do it again. I can't wait to get
01:12 the band back together and hit the road. I can't wait to collect more Billy Connolly stories. I
01:17 can't wait to meet you all. I can't wait to see you all in the audience. So, see you soon.
