Broadmead Ski Gondolas have been in service at one of Europe’s largest Ski resorts and have been transformed into a spot for Bristolians to experience as bit of seasonal escapism.

00:27 So we are in one of Bristol Christmas Market's heated igloos which can sit 8-10 people.
00:33 It's sort of your own little room in a busy bar where you can still see everything that's
00:40 going on around you.
00:41 Like you can see people on the first wheel, you can wave them as they go past and you
00:45 can enjoy your food, your drink.
00:48 So I am here outside one of the iconic ski gondolas that are situated right in the heart
00:54 of Broadmead.
00:55 Let's go in to take a look.
00:57 So I think our American director, he is a German chap so he's been involved in German
01:03 markets for a long long time.
01:06 So yeah he's seen these and these are fantastic.
01:09 And they are really cool, they're quite unique.
01:11 So I'm here sat in a gondola right in the heart of Broadmead which is a first for me
01:16 and I've ordered this amazing charcuterie board.
01:19 So let me show you.
01:20 Let's hope I don't spill anything.
01:24 So there's a range of cheeses.
01:26 So these cheeses are from one of the stalls from here.
01:30 So they're all Bristol small business cheeses.
01:34 So I suppose we should have a little taste test.
01:37 I don't know what to go for first.
01:40 Yeah lovely, yeah I mean they're very popular.
01:41 I mean it's very difficult now to book one at the weekends.
01:46 We do have availability during the week and also some Saturday in the day time and things
01:50 like that.
01:51 So on Friday nights people are queuing up to get in these and put their meal in there.
01:55 So yeah it's really good.
01:56 It's been really good.
01:57 So this is hummus I believe.
02:02 So these are all as well from the businesses that have stalls around here.

02:27 You know we had these last year as well and they proved very popular so why would we change

02:33 People enjoy coming to Bristol Christmas Market to have a gondola or an igloo.
02:36 So yeah it's like a USP of the market.
02:39 So to come to the Igam Omar bar and get a little bit of privacy but just enjoy the atmosphere
02:45 from the privacy of your own gondola.
02:49 So I am armed with breadsticks and cheeses and I am going to enjoy my charcuterie board
02:55 in a gondola in Bristol's city centre.
